To the dentist we go

The girls had dentist appointments today (2nd one for Emory). Christian did GREAT....jumped right up on the table and did everything she was asked so she could get a prize once it was over. She got another 'perfect teeth' report and the bruised tooth she got from jumping (and falling) on her bed is not a problem and continues to lighten (no one can notice but me.....right?!)

Emory watched carefully and listened to the lady explain everything they were doing to sissy.

Then it was Emory's turn. She smiled and happily showed her teeth

Then showed her even more of her teeth........

THen.....we ended up on the floor!!!! I'm guessing this is why they put us in the private back room behind closed doors!!!

Then Dr. Chambliss came in, and Emory screamed at top of her lungs and covered her mouth, basically saying 'the HELL if you are going to look in my mouth!"

After holding her down while he checked her out, she got a good report on her perfectly spaced (a little too spaced if anyone is asking me!). He also said the skin in-between her two front teeth with grow with her mouth as she gets older and she will not have a 'perma-gap'. I made him tell me about 10 times that he promises that she will not live life with skin continuously growing between her teeth causing her turmoil in her teen years.

Somehow we survived and got 4 plastic necklaces that made everything better! Taking kiddos to the dentist is NOT that fun.....glad it's over:)

Easter 2011

(First a little story....Thursday night CC and I were reading the story of Easter and at the bottom of her bible it has little questions to ask. This one was 'what would you say to Jesus if he were to walk into the room right now?'. Christian said, " I would tell him I want a baby brother. Right now" I just giggled and told her her daddy would say the same thing!!--hehehe
PS- I typed this out Sunday night, but didn't post it.....it's now Monday afternoon------I just picked the girls up from school and CC's afternoon teacher came up to me saying Christian told everyone she is getting a baby brother and wanted to know if it's true!!!!!!!! I almost peed my pants!)

We hit the ground running this morning with a peek at what the Easter Bunny brought us. Christian forgot the Easter Bunny even came (and to be honest the Easter bunny almost forgot as well.....all the partying from the night before had us worn out!), so she was extra excited.

Then we put on our Easter best and headed to church....Emory even let me curl her already curly hair into little ringlets:):)

After church, we went to Aunt Paige and Uncle Robert's house where we we posed for many many pictures!

Which most ended up like this. I have SO many pictures where CC is sitting smiling a fake smile and Emory walking towards me laughing.

Then we had an Easter Egg hunt!

and Christian got the orange golden egg with $10 inside!

then when we were all so tired we couldn't see straight, we went home! On the car ride home, CC asked to go to bed when we got home, and Bryan was so tired, he went to bed at 8:00!!

HOPPY EASTER!

Christian on her 2nd bday

Emory on her 2nd bday....still running around the house excited for the party to begin

Christian roller coasting!

Emory roller coasting....even though she is a fire-cracker, she is less of a dare devil than her sister!

still trying to get all the kiddos to look at the camera!

and Mason-still as cute as he was 3 years ago-still likes to have fun!!!

PARRRRR-TAY

(If you are not family- I apologize for ALL the pictures....just too many cute ones to leave off)

Emory turns TWO on the 30th! Since family was in town, we celebrated her birthday this weekend with a pizza/ice cream party

At Christian's 2nd birthday they had a roller coaster that was a hit. So, I thought maybe Emory would like it too. And we were right! They had a blast on it!

Then we thought it would be a good idea to let them roller coast right into the box! THE LOVED IT....all except Emory.

Mimi and Emory!

Even Aunt Paige enjoyed the roller coaster! We caught Uncle Robert sneaking a ride too, but not pictures to prove it:)

Then we thought of a better idea.....roll down the hill inside the box! Maybe we should have saved the money and just gotten a box- ha!

Only one little accident....Gaines rolled right into the side of the house! No major injuries- thank goodness

Someone is in love with their uncle Robert!!!!

Then we had ice cream with different toppings. THis is the best pictures I could get with all the cousins.....no smiles but at least they are looking at the camera

then Ms. Emory got to blow out her TWO candles!~

When you ask Emory how old she is, she always says "three". Then when you say 'no you're not', she giggles and says 'two" while holding up two fingers......silly girl.

Then we opened presents! isn't this the funniest thing EVER! Emory, CC, and I might be fighting over who gets to wear it!!!

Then, we dyed Easter eggs

Then a dance off b/t CC and Aunt Paige- CC won!!!

Then Aunt Paige and Mason.....Mason won! Aunt Paige finally made 3 year old Gaines play so she could win!!! I bet there will be another dance off in the near future:):)

HAPPY (early) BIRTHDAY SWEET EMORY! I still can't believe two years has already gone by!

weekend of being spoiled

Gran and Pawpaw invited CC and Emory to their house this weekend! They were so excited and couldn't wait.
On Thursday, I was telling Christian that they were going (we usually have to wait until the very last minute to them what is going on or they will ask every 5 minutes 'are we going now?"). I told CC that they invited just Emory and her - not us- so they could spoil them. CC asked what spoil meant. I told her they could do whatever they wanted to do b/c they were with Gran and Pawpaw. Well....that just made her day. SHe began coming up with all the things that they were going to do- ride bikes (Christian loves to ride up and down their driveway over and over-she talks about it all the time), blow bubbles, play with sidewalk chalk, and eat popsicles in the bath. On the way to meet my parents, CC informed me that she was going to stay for 100 weeks! Right when I dropped them off, CC told Gran "we are going to do whatever we want this weekend", and was ready for me to leave!

Christian's summary of the weekend:
Favorite thing- riding her bike and eating a snack outside
Silly thing- when she ate a dyed easter egg with the shell on it!! (she didn't know you were supposed to peel the shell-hehe!)
worst thing- coming home and Emory kicking her in the throat while they were playing in the tunnel

Emory's summary of the weekend:
-"Pawpaw's house"
-"ride ou-side" (she rode a little tricycle they have)

They had so much fun, and now have a MAJOR grandparent hangover!!!! Both girls have cried, whined, thrown huge fits, and told us that they want to 'go back to Gran (Gan as Emory says) and Pawpaw's house.....Welcome back!

Does it get any cuter!!!!

The rest of the girls' spring pictures came in! AREN'T THE ADORABLE!!!!!!!

I want to make a life size poster of this picture. I love how she is holding her little arm and grinning so big to show off her cute little gap teeth.

I just love them so much. You can even see their personalities in this picture- innocent and spunky- can you tell which is which?!
