Tiki's adventurous weekend!

Christian was SOOOOO excited to find out that she got to bring Tiki, the monkey, home from school for the weekend. Tiki is the class pet. He goes home with a different child every weekend. He comes in a little backpack with his favorite book, Five Little Monkeys, a monkey card game, a banana ABC game, and a journal to write his adventures in. This weekend was extra special b/c he had his Halloween costume with him- a pig! Tiki has done everything with us this weekend- out to dinner, Boo At the Zoo, playing outside, running errands, church, etc. He even gets to go trick or treating with us tonight! Christian has had SO MUCH FUN with Tiki!
Halloween- the 4th and final chapter to come later.....anyone else ready for Halloween to be over with?!

Halloween Part 3- Boo at the Zoo

Boo at the Zoo right when it opens is AWESOME! It wasn't crowded and it was still light outside for most of the time. We loved it! They changed a few things around this year, which seemed to be a lot better. The 'trick or treating' part was in the monkey house and a lot less crowded then before. Overall, I thought it was better than years past- maybe because we went earlier with not as many people there.
"chu-chu"

Our little pumpkin and 'witch princess'

The Meacham's cowgirl and cow (who really was happy. She just wanted a sucker REALLY bad at the exact moment we were taking the picture!)

There was a dance room where a strobe light was on and music playing. All four of the girls LOVED it more than anything. We would have stayed in there all night if it didn't get so crowded.

No one wanted to leave 'the club"!

Halloween part 2- parties and parade

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
I am the room mom for Emory's little class, and we had our Halloween party in the morning before the Halloween parade. On the menu.....bananas, strawberries, mandarin oranges, crackers, and cheese. The one mistake I made was putting food out on a table where they could see it before it was time to actually eat! Once they saw the bananas it was down hill from there! They all were chanting, "na-na, na-na, na-na"! So the party started a little earlier than planned. AND....one MAJOR thing I learned that I will NEVER do again---bringing balloons! I brought a group for CC's class and a group for Emory's class. Well, on the drive over, they got tangled together. While trying to untangle them in CC's class they drifted to the ceiling and began popping when they rested on the lights! So, I nixed the balloons for Christian's class and headed to Emory's. The kids loved them but couldn't reach them when they let go. So, they would get upset and it was just a vicious cycle. Ya live and learn, I guess!

Eating makes everyone happy!

Ms. Rose, the penguin!

Emory had a hard time understanding why I was in her classroom and not taking her home! She kept getting upset and just wanted me to hold her. She didn't like me do something other than picking her up while I was in there! But we still had a fun party!
THEN IT WAS TIME FOR THE PARADE..........

which didn't go over too well for Ms. Emory! She's not a fan of big crowds and the parade was a big crowd! I don't think we helped the situation when Bryan went over to fix her pumpkin hat. She lost it after that....CRIED HYSTERICALLY THE REST OF THE PARADE!

Ms. Nita got her out to hug on her in hopes she would quit crying...NOPE....just threw herself down and cried some more!

So then Mommy and Daddy got her and all was better!

Christian on the other hand loved it! She is all for big crowds and all eyes on her!!

Then we headed to CC's party where we ate, sang Halloween songs, and told Halloween stories!
What a fun Halloween day at school!

Halloween Part 1- GYMNASTICS

dress up day at CC's gymnastics!
CC's gymnastic group....aren't they cute!

these two are up to something!

I'm a big kid now!

Emory wants to do everything like her sister....including swinging in the 'big girl' swing!

The second we pulled into the driveway, she wanted to go outside and swing. Daddy got home right after us and Emory immediately pulled him to the swing!
Daddy, are you pushing me?

OH YEAH! Higher Daddy! Higher! I think Daddy is having fun!

I LOVE the big swing! Forget the baby swing with a seat belt!

Field Trip

4K & 5K at CC's school had a field trip to the pumpkin patch today and I was a chaperone so I drove Christian and one of her friends from her class. Having a friend ride in the car w/ us made CC BEYOND excited! I think that could have been her field trip and she would have been happy!
Christian's 4K class.....aren't they adorable!

This is CC's friend (crush::):):) from 3k, Sully! She was so happy to see him. At the end of the day, while we were picking up our pumpkins and getting in our cars, I saw Sully run over and give her a big hug! I thought she was going to DIE! What is she going to be like when she has a crush in high school?!

Ms. Donna and CC...perfect match for Christian. And Ms. Donna was bragging on Christian....telling me how smart she is and what a sweet, precious girl she is! CC was listening to her and just looked over her shoulder at me and smiled!

CC and her bow-head friend, Clara, from 3K! Could their bows get any bigger? I LOVE IT!

Proud mama on a field trip with her favorite 4 year old!

Christian and her great friend, Lydia! They are so cute together and play so well!
What a FUN day!!!

Date weekend!

-
This weekend the girls are being spoiled at Mimi and Grandaddy's house! So that means that Bryan and I are on our for the weekend. Friday night we went out for dinner and a movie! We went to eat at Chuy's AND loved it!!! The food was great and the atmosphere is fun. It would be a great place to take kids too bc it's loud! When we ordered a drink the waitress asked if we were 21! I told her "Yes. And to prove it I am going to ask you to take a picture of my hubby and me since we are actually out to dinner without kids!!!" then we saw Social Network- great movie (even with the group of 8 middle school kids who chose to sit right next to us in an empty theater and talk the whole time). Saturday we went to friends to watch the game and cook out. We miss our girls like crazy but I have loved hanging out with my hubby all weekend!
The girls are living it up at Mimi and Grandaddy's.... Pictures to come!

I Love the Dentist!

Both the girls had dentist appointments at 8:00 on Thursday. Bryan was originally going to take the girls, but I decided to go in late to work b/c I just couldn't stand the thought of missing my little Emory's first dentist appointment. So, we head that way (Bryan and the girls in his car....CC wanted them to ride w/ him b/c she has a big girl car seat in there and LOVES it! me in my car). They got there before me, and as I'm driving it hit me that I forgot to bring the 30 minutes worth of paperwork they mail to you so you can fill it out before the actual appointment. SOooooooooooo.....long story short- I didn't get to make it to the appointment b/c Bryan had to fill out the paperwork again and I had to get back to my kiddos at school. But being the best daddy that he is...Bryan took tons of pictures for me and gave me a play-by-play of everything!
CC went back by herself and did fantastic! She even got a magic pencil that changes colors! Emory did not cry ONCE! The ladies there loved her and couldn't get enough of sweet Emory! She let them clean and fluoride her teeth (CC at that age just screamed and cried the entire time, only letting the dentist look in her mouth for a quick second!). Oh...and that cute gap in her teeth might not end up being so cute! It's actually skin inbetween her teeth! The dentist said that you can get it clipped but he's not a fan of clipping, and if it's still like that at 7/8 we'll talk. But you know what.....that gap WILL NOT be cute at 7/8 years old. So, we'll see.....might have to find a doc that IS a fan of clipping!

Fall festival

We headed to our church Fall Festival this afternoon....we are definitely getting plenty of opportunities for Halloween dress up!!!

run away bride!

Emory L.O.V.E.D the bounce house SO much that I had to climb in to get her out!(not a pretty sight:):)

We saw our friends, The Nations ,and their little pumpkin! I wish Emory had her pumpkin costume on....what a cute picture that would have been!!

Christian with her friends, Hudson and Lydia. When I asked Hudson to go stand by Christian to take a picture he was slowly trying to grab her hand. You can't see, but they are holding hands! His mommy told him that Christian was dressing up as a bride and he told her he was going to be put on his black outfit!!!

graffiti and photo shoot

So, this morning we had A LOT to do to get ready for church. Of course, we didn't set our alarm b/c the girls usually wake us up, but today they slept in. So, when Bryan and I finally woke up, we began the process of getting ourselves ready, bathing the girls (put it off last night and never got around to it), dressing the girls, breakfast, bags packed, etc.... Then Emory decided to do a little graffiti on our hallway wall! At least the marker didn't get on her new dress, I guess!
Then to add to the madness, I decided we needed pictures b/c everyone looked so clean and pretty.

Emory. My sweet sweet Emory. You're giving me a run for my money!!!:):) But I love you even more for it! You know exactly what you want!
And I know exactly what I need......to purchase The Strong Willed Child and to remember that you and CC are TWO totally different girls!
