Justin Bieber and Dancing

This past week, CC and I made a quick trip to the mall. We stopped by the MAC counter where Christian got a little make over. She loves makeup and they are so sweet to her- always acting like she is REALLY going to buy the make up. We were lucky that it was slow when were there and the lady this time let her pick out all her colors and spent a lot of time with her.
Then to make it even better, right next to the MAC counter was a big poster of Justin Bieber with his new perfume! Christian doused herself in 'Someday' by Justin Bieber perfume- I mean DOUSED herself- I had the worst headache!!. She even wanted to put it under her arms???!! We reeked as we walked through the mall but she was one happy girl!
We stopped for a quick hair cut for CC, then got oreo ice cream (and had to send a picture to Pawpaw to make him jealous!!!!- we will never again pass anything that has do to with oreos and not think of Pawpaw- then send a picture to show him:):)

Then we had to sit down and take pictures of her with her Justin Bieber perfume on:):)

Saturday night, we went dancing with our Sunday School class! You would never know from this picture though!! The men had to get some courage to do some dancing!!!!
We went to Fred Astaire dance studio for a private lesson. We learned the rumba and swing dancing. It was so much fun!!
The stretches Chris did beforehand must have paid off- he got the most compliments from the instructor and won the mirror ball trophy!!

I think it took a little while for the instructor to come to grips with the fact that we weren't any good! But he must have come around b/c he taught us for an extra 30 minutes! We will definitely go back! It really was a fun time.

Tonight, completely out of the blue, while Bryan was in the kitchen and I was laying in bed, he yelled to me:
"hey mallory, remember the other night when I said I wanted to advertise my love for you?"
Me:" Um, No"
Then he came back to our bedroom wearing this................

I started laughing so hard and was so confused!
He said one night he googled 'I love Mallory". This shirt popped up and he had to get it!
Now, I officially have the cutest, funniest hubby ever!
I can't stop laughing:) and still a little confused:):):)
(Christian and Emory, when you are old enough to date---Please remember that THIS is the type man you deserve- expect nothing less from your future husband. The kind that will randomly buy a "I love Christian" or 'I love Emory" shirt just to let you know they love you- even after 11 years of being together!)

shower cap

since we love to make patterns, CC has created a pattern to go along with our bath time- shower, bath, shower, bath, shower, bath. On shower days, we wash their hair. On Bath days we don't. So I bought them these cute shower caps (reminds me of my Gran:):).

 CC wanted her picture taken
 and loved it!

Emory wanted her ears sticking out
and did not want her picture taken
she finally smiled when I told her not to!
 Don't smile Emory
 don't do it, don't smile
j
Then she had enough of the pictures and the shower cap. It eventually came off ending up in the bathtub and her hair wet.

These two couldn't be any more different!!

'nastics

We had Presidents' Day off, so my friend Jessica took Georgia and Emory to WEE Flip to play. They are having a joint bday party there to celebrate turning 3, so they had a chance to check it out before the big party!!! They are only 2 days apart and in the same class together. They are the best of friends, and we are constantly talking about Georgia around our house and how "Georgia is my best friend'.

They both thought they were getting ready to go to their birthday party! Emory kept walking around the house collecting random things saying,"Mama, I take this to my party, okay?"

When I took her over to Georgia's house, Jessica said Georgia thought the same thing:)

Christian had a play date at the park with all her old friends from 4K. All the kids were so excited to see each other, and all the moms kept talking about how their kids miss their friends from Trinity. Christian was in heaven and LOVED seeing everyone.

Now, Emory keeps talking about her 'nastics  place and wants to make sure that CC knows that SHE has a gymnastics place too!

Jessica- you were very brave to take these two wild ones out together! Emory had a blast! THANK YOU SO MUCH! We'll definitely have to do it again:)

A day in the life

My Wednesdays are super busy:

4:45- Wake up (UGH)
5:00- read the bible (I'm in the process of reading the entire bible using my YouVersion App- on day 105- currently on 1 King), read my daily devotional, drink coffee.....I guess I could sleep later but it's the only quiet time at our house.
5:30- begin the process of getting me ready, CC & EMory out of bed, and get everyone ready (=chaos and drama)
6:30-- get to work, try to explain to CC that we didn't get to work early to do a craft! (where most time we end up doing a craft if CC doesn't see her BFF (her new thing to say), Mrs. Young, where she helps her get kids off the bus and hold the door
7:15-  non stop teaching, put out fires:), try to remember to love my students b/c that's all I want for a teacher to do with CC
2:30-2:35- Bus Duty
2:35- grab CC and try to get her to pay attention enough to change into her ballet outfit
2:45- bus duty
3:00- get ready to leave, round up CC from someone's room she is visiting
3:45-drop CC off at ballet
3:50-- rush to pick up Emory at her school quickly, rush back to ballet
4:30-pick up CC from ballet, drive home, fix dinner
5:30- Bryan gets home, I leave for church
6:00- church for my new 6 week study group of moms (Sacred Parenting). I'm really excited - we met tonight for a 'meet and greet'- seems like it's going to be a good group of mamas and a great book about our purpose as parents (which I think I'll need after busy days like Wednesdays)
7:00- open the door to our house and hear the bath water......thought about quietly closing the door and driving around the block!!! But Emory saw me and said,"What ya doin' Mommy?"
7:00- bath, bed time, etc
8:30- WHEW!!!! sit down and say hello to my hubby!!!

I'M TIRED!!!

Party Time

Emory's class had a Valentine's Ball today. The teachers went all out for the 'ball"- all the kids were to dress up and they walked down a red carpet with their "date". They practiced their manners- the boys pulled the chair out for the girls and pushed them into the table (some girls were pushed a little too far and could barely breathe!). We had lunch and a little dance party too!  The Toddler Two teachers should know how to party:):)

I went early to help set up and every time I walked into her room to get something she would start crying. Her teachers say she never does that during the day but only because I was there.

(random picture of CC at her party- not sure how this picture ended up right here when I downloaded them). Her class had a 'low-key-no-parent" party, but someone emailed me a picture of her having fun!!!
Is it just me, or does it look lie CC has dread locks?!!! It might be time for a haircut and a nice long shower!

Here is one of the tables set up at Emory's party.

One little boy got sick, so Kevin had two dates to walk in! The girls held flowers at they walked down the red carpet and the boys wore crowns!

She was so excited to see her Daddy there!

I'm sure she was just as excited for me to be there too- just not as vocal about it- ha!

Then they all danced with their daddies.

These two girls are obsessed with each other. Emory talks about Georgia every day, "Georgia my best friend" and she prays for Georgia every night, "Thank you God for the whole world.....and Georgia"

 more dancing

this picture sums up how much fun she had at the Valentine Ball....and how she was THE REST OF THE DAY!!! I'm not sure if it was the six cookies she ate at the party or the candy she ate later, but she was OUT OF CONTROL!!! She had no nap, talked non-stop, and didn't slow down at all. After putting on quite a show while visiting her new cousin at the hospital, she fell asleep within seconds of getting in the car to go home. While putting her in bed, she told me "I wear these clothes to bed. It's okay mama, I not change to go to sleep"- so she's still in her "Sunday Best" for bed!

They danced with their 'dates', passed out Valentine's (= chaos), then gave us the Valentine's presents they made for us.

They each got up and said this little poem for us!
ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE! This video isn't when she stood up in front of everyone, but afterwards when we made her say it again. She has randomly said it over and over to me throughout the day. So sweet!!!
Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
Guess what Mommy,
I LOVE YOU!!!!

It really was the best party and such a cute Valentines Ball. I'll remember it forever....and to limit her cookie intake from now on!!! Whew

Valentine's Day gifts

This has been a pretty exciting Valentine's Day for us! I'm going to save our Valentine's Day parties for another post, but here are some of the gifts we gave and got.....

Emory and Christian's card to grandparents! (Don't look Mimi and Granddaddy -- yours is in the mail waiting for you when you get home!)
It says, "From the bottom of our heart, to the tips of our toes. We love you!"

The front of Gran and PawPaw's card.

The girls woke up to a few surprises too!

Emory also got a Micky Mouse video and CC got a horse painting kit.

So excited for the day!

Just about every morning, CC wants to go into the copy room at school and make a copy of her hand. So I came up with this cute idea to use for our card.  I copied each of the girls' hand saying I Love you in sign language and made it into a pop up card. So when you open the card, their hand pops out (hard to tell in the picture). Then they wrote they love about Daddy!

CC (she did all this spelling on her own!!!):
I love you when you kiss me good night
I love you because you give me zerberts
I love you when you eat with me (at lunch at her school)

Emory (forgot to take a picture):
I love you when you do the hot dog dance
I love you when you give me zerberts (although she does love it, she copied it from her sissy!!!)
I love you when you say I love you too.

And the best Valentine's Day gift of all is the new addition to the family - our niece/cousin was born today!!! I'll dedicate a whole blog to her once I take 1,000 more pictures of her!!! But can't you tell she's absolutely beautiful and just perfect! Not only do I have 3 pretty awesome nephews, I now have a pretty awesome niece!

Scrapbooking

The girls spent the weekend with gran and pawpaw and had so much fun. So much fun that Emory cried the first half of the home with us-"I miss gran and pawpaw really really bad", and Christian cried the second half -" I just want to be with gran and pawpaw"!!!
Anyway, they got CC a Hello Kitty scrap booking kit. So I was trying to find some pictures for her to put in it. Here's a few I came across:

The first day we brought Christian home. We bought a big sister shirt for our dog, Hampton!!!! Hampton eventually went into foster care and my grandparents adopted her. We still love Hampton- just love we more at gran and pawpaw's house:):)

Bryan and I thought that this was the CUTEST picture of the cutest baby ever!! We sent it out to everyone we knew. Now looking back, there might have been cuter pictures-ha!

She made this face with her finger in her mouth ALL THE TIME!

Our nephews, Mason (left) and Carter (right), with our friend's little boy,Mac (middle). They look so young and Carter's hair is so curly;) and looks a lot like Emory!!

I'll post her scrap book once she's finished. She really likes it and has done a cute job with it so far.

Also- cant wait to show all our vday gifts the girls have made...just need to wait until everyone gets them first!
