Emory's BIG week

Emory has had a lot going on this week! After a stressful doctor's appointment on Tuesday, we followed it up with an end of the year party on Wednesday!

We had a picnic with her class (inside, thank goodness:) and watched a sweet video that her teachers put together.

They handed out little awards to each child. Emory got 'Future Hair Stylist' because she loves to play with everyone's hair!

Daddy surprised us and came for the last part!

Then today, she had her moving up ceremony and got to meet her new teacher in her new big girl classroom! This is Emory's sweet friend, Lucy.

We love Mrs. Karen! She is going to be in Emory's class this summer, and we couldn't be happier!

During the ceremony, they showed another sweet video of the 5K kids interviewing them. It was adorable.  Then they gave out more awards and certificates.
Emory received the "BEST LISTENING EARS" award!!!
 "WHAAAAAT?"

They gave out two medals to the first boy and girl that were potty trained!! And our Emory won the medal!

 She was so proud!

Mrs. Carolyn, the one who takes all the pictures of the class throughout the day.

Afterwards, we met her new teacher and played in her new room for a while. She really likes it and jumped right in to playing kitchen. Starting tomorrow they will be in their new "big girl" class, can get out of the car in the car pool line, and will begin taking naps at 1:00 in the big room with all the kids! Let's hope it goes well- ha!
My little girl is growing up! With that and CC loosing a tooth, I feel like I don't have babies anymore!

Funny day!!

So we were in the parking lot o Office Depot and ran into Mrs. Morton, CC's kindergarten teacher. After talking for a while, Mrs. Morton asked about Christian's loose tooth, felt it, and offered to pull it. Christian almost had a heart attack she was so excited!
Very expected and random way to loose your first tooth! A story we will never forget.

Look at the excitement in CC's face!!

Can you believe it?!!:)

Can't wait to see what the tooth fairy brings!!

VCUG

Emory had her annual VCUG (not sure what it stands for) procedure to see if her kidney reflux has gotten better and ultra sound to see of her kidneys were growing properly.

Something on the ultra shows up orange and blue, and the girls say that it proves that Emory is an Auburn fan! She bleeds orange and blue!!

The cute patient in her hospital gown. I wanted to steal it so bad!!!! She looked so stinkin cute in it. CC was on her best behavior while we were there. She had to sit out in the Hallway while they were doing the X-ray (and luckily I had her iPod in my purse). She never once complained and was perfect!

After a very stressful 45 minutes of trying to get Emory to tee-tee, which she never did, the nurse finally gave up and had her tee tee in the potty and get back on the table for X-rays. The results- her kidney reflux is down from a level 3 to level 2. So it's correcting itself and hopefully correct itself all the way! YaY!:):):)

After lunch with daddy and a few convos from Emory (who yelled) about "those people stuck a thing in my tu-tu" and a few very loud "Shhhhhhhh" from me and bryan, we went home to play with our new sprinkler toy!

Whew- this day wore me out!!

bowling

We took the girls bowling Saturday night....not quite the same as laying out on the beach like most people are doing this Memorial Day weekend, but we still had a great time!

Emory had never been bowling. Just like she normally is in new situations, she was very quite and just checking it all out for the first 15 minutes.
Two cute bum-bums, huh?!

Then she figured it out and didn't want us to help her anymore!!

Emory bowling and showing us how she does her hands!

CC bowling

Emory dancing to the music!!

E and I lost interested about half way through the game, while CC and Bryan were trying their best to win! I lost:):), but in my defense I didn't have bumpers and I let CC bowl a few of my turns--- I'm sure I still would have lost though!!

Then we played arcade games for a while. This huge claw game cost $1 to play and obviously had used stuffed animals in it along with empty coke bottles. CC still wanted to use her coins to play. Kinda glad she didn't win!!

CC beat Daddy, fair and square- he NEVER lets her win, at air hockey!

fishing with Daddy

Daddy took Christian fishing early Saturday morning. They surprised me and stayed out there for 3 hours!   CC got bored with fishing but just loved being out there with just her daddy. She didn't want to come home:) They also went 'muddin' in Daddy's truck, which Christian LOVED!!!
They didn't catch anything but had the best time hanging out together.

Out of my mind

Today was the last day of school!!! It's officially summer- YAY!!!
And guess what I spent the majority of my morning doing- you will never guess!!!
I spend a lot of time joining the Justin Bieber Fan Club! Yep, that's right, BEEEEEEcause.......I got a super super secret code to order tickets for when Justin Bieber comes to BIRMINGHAM!!!!!!!! Y'all, like I told my friend, Fran (who gave me the heads up) "Christian is going to sh*t her pants"- I know- not very lady like, but it is true!
After spending $230 on the good seats for CC, Daddy, and me I started feeling stupid. But then when Christian saw the commercial and giggled to herself for 20 minutes, I realized it was stupid, but I don't care at all! She will always remember it and so will I!!
Bryan was a tad bit upset that I spent so much, but I think he's over it after CC's giddiness!
When Bryan asked CC what would be the one question she would ask Justin, she said "can I have a kiss?"!!!!!- oh no!!
Also- if you read this DO NOT Say anything to CC. The concert is not until january, so we are giving the tickets as a Christmas gift. Mainly so we don't have 6 months of "is today the Justin Bieber concert?"- so Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Last day

Today was Christians's last day of school. I knew it was going I tough on both of us. She has cried every morning on the way to school about how much she was going to miss Mrs. Morton. Last night I had a vision of her coming out to bus duty (where I am in the afternoons) and just sobbing. I thought we were in the clear but it only took a second for the tears to come. She was truly upset about not seeing Mrs. Morton everyday. Then as I was walking back to my room, people said there were about 4 other kids from her class crying too. Just shows what a wonderful teacher and person Mrs. Morton is. She really does love her students just like her own. It sure was hard to not let myself cry just as hard as she was- but because I will miss seeing Christian everyday:(:(
On the way home, when it was just us, Christian cried more than I can ever remember her crying. Every now and then she would say, between her sobs, "I just am going to miss Mrs. Morton so much. I just want her to be right next to me. She really is the best teacher ever."
Then she said, "Mom, when we get out of the car I want to give you a really big hug because I think it will make me feel better."
She did calm down and begin to feel a little better once we got Emory and got ice cream.

Emory/ET

Last night bryan and I were laughing at how little Emory was and what a head full of hair she has. How her hair makes her look so much older than she is really. Than bryan said it reminded him of ET when he had the wig on. I started laughing then pulled it up!!

Hahahahaha!!!
Of course we don't think Emory looks at all like ET, but we laughed forever:):)

Conversations with Christian

One thing I am really going to miss next year is my drive to and from school with CC. On the way home, we usually talk about what happened at school- who signed the book, how far she went on the monkey bars, what they painted, etc. Or she plays teacher and I answer questions. or she falls asleep!! on the way to school we talk about many different things- she asks a lot of questions about God (seems to be on her mind most mornings!).

Today we talked about who she was going to marry and what her children's name will be. She is going to marry Sully Blake, her 3k crush, and have three kids. 2 girls and a boy- Christian McKenney Blake, Mary Marchman Blake, and Ethan Parke Blake! She came up with them on her own and put a lot of thought into her kids names!
On the home today, we played a game where she said words that rhymed, then we would sing "that rhymes, that rhymes" or "no way, no way" if they didn't rhyme.
One that stuck out was one with one real word and one nonsense word(so she says)------"itch, bitch"- "THAT RHYMES, THAT RHYMES"!!!:):)

My little guppy

Christian had "try outs" today to be on the little guppy swim team and she made it!!! Yay! To be completely honest all they had to do was swim half way across the pool and be able to stay afloat. But regardless- she is a little guppy and so excited!!!!

Congrats Sophia and Christian!!!
