Baptism

does it get any cuter than this?! We have the same picture of Christian and Bryan when she was this age. it makes me smile!
I love my girls!

CC was so good during the service (but of course...we had to use the potty)

Dr. Andy Wolfe

happy to be baptised!
OH! These petit fours were to die for!!

The food table.

My side of the family

Bryan's side of the family

We had a big family filled weekend to celebrate Emory's baptism. It has been a fun time. Friday my mom, dad, and aunt came in town early to go swimming and celebrate my daddy's birthday. We went to eat at PF Changs where CC and Emory slept through most of the dinner (Christian cannot go without a nap and stay up past 6:00!----not complaining!). My dad is finally 21st century- he got an Ipod (but I bet it will still be in the box the next time I see him).
Saturday CC swam all morning with my mom and aunt (they even went down the slide- I'll have to post those pics later b/c they are on March's camera). Then Mimi, Grandaddy, and the Drew gang came to swim some more.....very fun day. Then this morning Emory was baptised. It was a great service and Emory was perfect! She wore the dress that has been in my family (dad's side) for over 100 years.! Her god parents are our cousins, Courtney and Andrew. We celebrated with our family with a luncheon at our house. I love being with family. It was a wonderful weekend.
I just have to throw this in here. CC is so funny. Here is a conversation she had with Bryan SAturday morning in the car.
C: Daddy, are you mad at me?
B: No!!
C: ARe you mad at Mommy?
B: No, I'm not mad at mommy either.
C: Well, I'm mad at mommy.
B: Why are you mad at mommy?
C: I'm just mad at her.
Then tonight at dinner she would not eat and couldn't have her juice until she ate something. She is so strong willed and was refusing to eat. But we held our ground and wouldn't let her get up or get her juice until she took a few bites. So, she decided to put on her acting shoes and start 'crying' (so fake!). Bryan said, 'YOu are fake crying, you don't have any tears." So she produced real tears and said "DAddy, you hurt my feelings"!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

The future Mrs. Spaeder!!

oh-la-la!!!

My cousin, Courtney, got engaged on Friday! I am so excited for her- I feel like it's me who got engaged! This weekend was the first time I met Jason, but I had heard Courtney talk about him and become all smiley and giddy whenever she mentioned his name. He is a great guy and seems perfect for her! I can't wait for their wedding! CONGRATS!!!!!!

Lifetime Friends!

aren't they all adorable! Lucy is 6 weeks older than Georgia and Emory. In this picture she is excited to see her friends!
friends since birth....they are two days apart....Jessica and I were 3 doors down from each other in the hospital. We would walk (slowly!) to each others room with our little girls in their beds to visit.

it looks like Emory and Georgia are leaning on each other to stay up!
We will have to get this same picture of them when they are older.
get her Lucy!!!
Fran and Lucy came in town this week and we have had the BEST time. I really wish they lived here. Having the girls together has been a fun fun time. Jessica, Fran, and I all had babies around the same time. This is the first time that we gotten together with the girls. It's so cute to watch them smile at each other and 'talk'. I can't wait to watch these girls grow up together. I'm sure we will have our hands full when they are teenagers! FRAN....move back SOON!!!!

Great day for the zoo!

it was so cold in our house last night that I pulled out the baby leg warmers for Emory...cute huh! Can't wait for the fall for her to wear them like CC did as a little one.

the morning is the perfect time for the zoo...all the animals are awake and eating. Angela wore this dress that looked similar to this tiger and he made googley eyes at her....kinda creepy!

Elise and Emory are 6 days apart. they enjoyed the zoo trip too! (side note....look at Emory's bow. I'm on a 'bow making' kick, so I decided she should wear one in the 4 strands of hair she has!!!)

proud sisters!

Sophia and Christian got along so well. They played with each others hair for about 20 minutes on this rock. Both Angela and I have never seen our girls sit this long....we've got to get them together more often!!!:):)

Christian telling Sophia a secret (I heard her...the secret was "Monkey"- but don't tell anyone!)

the splash pad...fun but cold. the girls didn't stay in too long.

all wrapped up!
Another fun day! We headed to the zoo to meet Angela, Sophia, and Elise. The weather was perfect and it wasn't crowded at all. I guess that's the benefit of being on maternity leave...you can go to the zoo while the other kids are in school! It was just a perfect day...I didn't even sweat, which is unusual for me when I am at the zoo!!! The girls played so well together and Emory and Elise were happy in their strollers (except for feeding time!). We would have stayed longer had I brought more formula! Can't wait to go back!

Beach Part 3

Emory's beautiful smile...she sure does love her daddy

AHHHhhh....watch out CC....an alligators about to get ya!

Emmie's funny face at dinner...doesn't she look cute!

this band was awesome. they had instruments and invited kids to come up to play with them. CC LOVED every minute of it! She would have stayed there the whole night if they played that long.

okay, so they had this little booth where you could pick a song and they put your face on funny bodies and you dance around. CC and I danced to Girls Just Want to have Fun. Gran bought the video for us. CC will love it when she gets older. If I can figure it out, I will try to put it up on here
We spent our last night at the beach at BayTowne Warf. It was so nice b/c it wasn't super crowded like it usually is in the summer. We ate outside at a Mexican restaurant, then found the band where CC jumped on stage to dance and play instruments. It was a such a fun time watching her jump around and dance and play instruments. It was a such a fun time watching her jump around and dance. her second time on stage in one night! The first was with me singing Girls Just Want to Have Fun. That is our song at home that we dance to all the time, so it was perfect that we sang and danced on a green screen too!
When driving back from BayTowne Warf, this was our conversation:
C: Mommy, I need someting
Me: what do you need?
C: I need a beer
Me: A WHAT!
C: A beer
Me: How about a juice?
C: Uh!! okay
(I guess she hears " I need a beer" a lot!! Her little ears are listening to everything!)

Now we are home....sad to leave the beach with the fam....back to reality I guess :(:(:(

Beach Part 2

Daddy being silly with his girls!

Bryan in heaven....teaching his little girl about golf

Daddy had to step in to show her how to hold the club.

CC telling Papaw how to play

Dinner at Cafe 30-A. Yum yum!!

We've had the best time this week at the beach. Thursday we headed to an Italian restaurant named Borago....YUUMMMMMY!!! We drive by it every year and say we want to go, so we finally did. It was so good. Even Christian ate most of her dinner....which is unusual for her.
Then Friday we went to Cafe 30-A for dinner. They say only well behaved children are welcome...and CC and Emory passed! They were great. I had to have a little talk with Christian about being a big girl and she was great. Emory slept through the whole dinner which was great. Then we headed down to the beach for some family photos. Then we took CC to play putt putt for the first time. She had the best time and played the entire 18 holes (I was worried she would loose interest early). CC was actually pretty good, but would always hit the ball once, then move the ball next to the hole to hit it in....always getting a score of 2! Bryan and my dad got 3 holes in one, and I got one hole in one- winning us 3 free games. It was so much fun and CC slept until 10:30 this morning- a first for her!!!! Maybe she'll do that while at home!!!
More pics to come.........

CC modeling outside of George's....this cute little restaurant in Alys Beach

Emory's second time in swimming pool

my pretty little girl!

CC has NO fear in the water. she is a little fish too!

Fran and Lucy came to visit us. We had such a fun time swimming and hanging out! We are all going to the beach for a week in Sept...I can't wait!

Lucy had the cutest little star float!

Gran and CC
EWWWWWW...... We went crabbin' one night and these little things were ALL OVER the beach. They looked like blue jelly fish...so weird. We were scared to touch them...weren't sure if we would get stung or night.

We caught 3 little ghost crabs. There were some really big crabs in the water, but they were too fast for us.
playing with sparklers

this was Emory's FIRST time in the pool when my aunt Pat and cousin Di came in town....look at her little swimming suit...just wanted to throw this on in there

I thought this was a cute face of Emory and CC when they were playing together!

Papaw and Emmie
making waffles at the beach...as Christian says- yummy yummy yummy in my tummy!
We are having great time at the beach...after the first night of storms it ended up being really pretty. We are taking it easy (as much as we can w/ 2 little ones!) playing in the pool, in the sand and going out to dinner. It's been a great time! I LOVE LOVE LOVE being at the beach!
