KISS ATTACK!!!!

I ABSOLUTELY love Emory's age right now! She is so stinkin' cute- talking up a storm and has the funniest personality. She is so funny and even knows how to little jokes...well in her own little way (when she toot toots, she says 'I pooted'..ha!). She is so loving and our little cuddle bug! I just love her to death! Some of her latest tricks are saying 'I love you too" after we say it to her and talking about her little friends at school. She now wants to do EVERYTHING her 'sissy' does- even as far as us whispering in her ear b/c we whispered in CC's ear!
These pictures are of her laughing like crazy from a kiss attack (where we scream "KISS ATTACK" then kiss all over her face and make kissing noises- we've done it since CC was little and she loved it too!).
I can't get enough of my two little girls... They sure do make Bryan and me happier than ever::):):)

first for everyone

Christian had her first spend the night company on Friday! Christian and Lydia have been in the same class for two years now. They play so well together and get along great. Almost daily, Christian talks about having Lydia over to spend the night. So, after talking to her mom and trying to figure out if they were too young for a sleepover, we decided to try it.
At one point, Bryan and I were sitting in the den listening to the girls play in the playroom- we looked at each other and said we felt so grown up! Our little girl had spend the night company and we were sitting in the den with the TV off listening to them play!

Before going home, we stopped at TCBY, where I found out that Friday is "Free Kiddie Cup" day! We'll be making that stop more often:):)
Once we got home, they immediately changed into their princess gear.

Emory followed them around all night and had so much fun! They had so much fun in the bounce house.

After about 45 minutes of jumping, around 7:00, Lydia said she was ready to go to sleep! I wish CC would tell me that at 7:00 at night!

This is Emory cleaning up. She LOVES to clean up while singing q the 'clean up' song. It's so cute.

I knew CC wouldn't got to bed at 7:00, so we put the blow up bed in the playroom and put on a movie. Neither one of them went to sleep. They did 'go to bed' around 8:30 and fell asleep around 10:00. There was no fighting and they were perfect! They even slept in the same twin bed together! At 6:15 they woke up, but just played in CC's room until 7:00!

Soooooooo----- Christian's first sleep over was a success- no crying, no fighting.....just non-stop fun for both girls (well all three, if Emory is included). They even got to play outside Saturday morning.

Happy Birthday

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!!!

We love you and can't wait to celebrate BIG in June!

THIS IS THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE!!!

Yesterday, when I picked the girls up from school CC was in the main room jumping in a bounce house. Emory was ABSOLUTELY heartbroken that she couldn't jump with her sissy. So, when we got home, we set up our bounce house the girls got for their birthday last year. It took up the entire playroom, but it was all worth it when Christian screamed, "THIS IS THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE" and Emory belly-laughed for 10 minutes straight!

Doesn't it look fun!!!

Duck Hunting and Birthday celebrating

This weekend while Bryan went duck hunting (how cute are they!?), we went home to my parents to celebrate my mom's 60th bday!!!!!

It was such a pretty weekend, so we finally got to go outside and ride our new bike and 'toot scoot". Christian is really good at riding her bike. She can turn and use the hand brake all on her own!

Emory loved her little 'toot scoot'. She was rolling all over the driveway. One time, my mom showed her how to put her feet up so she could push Emory. From then on, she wanted someone to push her instead of her doing the work!

CC made my mom a book for her birthday. It made her so happy, and she is still talking about when Gran said that it was her favorite birthday present!

We always wear different hats for people's bday. Emory loved it! Doesn't March look funny in the camo hat.....I don't know why but it makes me laugh so hard when I see her in this hat!!!:):)

We had already given my mom her bday gift in August when my dad surprised her with a trip to Italy. So we got him an 'as seen on TV' TOTAL PILLOW to take on the plane. Or she can wear it as a hat!!

HAPPY (early) BIRTHDAY MOM!!!!!

Saturday night, I went over to my BFF, Ellen's, house. We had the best time just sitting around talking. I haven't really had a chance to hang out b/c whenever I see her lately we've been in a big group. So, it was so fun to catch up and relive our college days (and how we were able to eat/drink WHATEVER we want and not worry about it--- long gone are those days:(). Love ya Ellen!!

Sunday morning, the girls and I left kinda early b/c an electrician was coming over- whenever we turn our oven on the power goes out......UGHHHHHHHHHH. Anyway, when we got home, I was unpacking the car while Emory was watching through the storm door. Christian had come by and closed the front door, so that Emory was stuck between the storm door and the front door. At the time I didn't know it, so I just quickly opened the door (with my hands full) and Emory fell face first. After a lot of crying and drama, CC got in trouble and was sent to her room. When I went in to get her I bent down and told her how much I loved her- more than anything in the world- it makes me sad to give her spankings, etc. When she started crying hysterically, I asked her why she was so upset. This is her response, " Because what you said to me was so sweet mama. I love you too." UNBELIEVABLE!!!! I sure did feel bad after that!!!

conversation with.....herself!

We just forced CC to go to bed after a long process of book, prayers, relaxing, and hugging. She has already made up EVERY excuse in the book to stay awake. She is sleeping with her pillow pet, her Jesse Doll, and Tiki the monkey. We are in our room hearing her scream, "I DON'T LIKE TALKING TO PRETEND PEOPLE OR PUPPETS. I WANT TO TALK TO REAL PEOPLE THAT WILL TALK BACK TO ME! PLEASE COME TALK TO ME!!!!"
I sure do love this little one!

I can't get enough

Emory is talking up a storm lately.....here are two of my favorite words that she says. How cute is her little voice! She is finally calling Christian something..... "Sissy" and she says it all the time. When I ask her her name, she says "mine"!!! I think it's the cutest thing!

I feel like I might have look like this a time or two on the dance floor after a few too many!!!

our weekend

Saturday night we went to a couples baby shower for our cute pregnant friend, Julie, and her hubby, Corey. It was fun to see and catch up with everyone.

Sunday, we went to get the girls and took it easy the rest of the day. Monday, the girls and I had the day together!!! So, we called our fun friends, the Meacham's, and headed to the zoo!!!

We basically had the zoo to ourselves (maybe because it was so cold!). The girls fed the giraffes and a lot of the animals were out and about.

The little ones had a blast after we let them out of the stroller:) This little tiger cat thing was playing and showing off for the girls.

Emory LOVED it! Look at that face!

We even got to see the lions eating a HUGE bone.....we were trying to figure out what kind of bone it was.....

Blizzard of '11

We had the winter storm of 2011 earlier this week, and Alabama shut down for a few days. We went for a spend the night party at Aunt Paige and Uncle Robert's house in case we lost power. I'm really glad we did b/c the girls were entertained by their cousins and our cabin fever didn't set in until later (in lock down with schools closed until Wednesday!!). The short, G-rated version of our drive home on Monday consisted of Bryan pushing three cars up a hill b/c they were stuck due to ice, the girls and me in the car parked on a hill, me screaming bad words b/c Bryan was pushing cars up a hill, CC telling me to not be mad at Daddy b/c he was helping people and you don't get mad at people for helping other people (she is right.....no mom of the year award that day!!), then CC telling Daddy "Daddy, Mama is SOOOOOO mad at you" when he got back in the car!

Then we had a very LONG, short week of work. Friday, the cousins came for a spend the night party. Bryan kept all 5 of them for most of the night while I had a GNO (where we played a very fun game of spoons. Has anyone ever played? I think my Kentucky family would LOVE it. Even though we walked away with a few injuries, it was a fun night:)) Bryan did win the Daddy (and uncle) of the year award that night!

CC and Emory love having their cousins over! Bryan wants to have 5 kids now b/c the boys are so well behaved. The girls are spending the night at they boy's house tonight, so we'll see if Aunt Paige feels the same way about having 5 kids the same way Bryan does!!
I put this picture up b/c Emory was SO cute walking around in Gaines' shoes!
One quick conversation between CC and Emory:
(in the car talking about going back to school after the weekend)
CC: I LOVE Mrs. Donna.
E: NOOOOOOOOOOO (at the top of her lungs).....ROOOOOOOSSSSSSSe (Rose is her teacher)

guess Emory thinks Mrs. rose is the best too!!!

Sure know how to show someone a good time

GO BIG BLUE!!!!

Emory loves playing with her babies (and sportin' Daddy's UK beanie!). She feeds them, rocks them, puts them to 'night night', smells for dirty diapers, wipes them, and changes poo-poo diapers ALL THE TIME. She has even gotten to where she wants to smell other people for dirty diapers and wants to wipe them (might become a problem in public!!)

My dad was in town, so we went out to dinner to my new favorite place, Chuy's. We got there at 5:30 and the wait was already at an hour and a half!! Since we were already there we decided to wait b/c usually they say it will be a long wait but it isn't. Well, this time it was, of course! But both of the girls were really good- only a few 'we might have to leave' moments, but overall they were patient. We finally sit down at ~7:00. We order some dip and about 2 minutes later EMORY THROWS UP EVERYWHERE!!!!!! She did take a few bites of the dip, which was a little spicy and spit up a little bit, but we just thought it was due to the spicy dip. THen she leaned in to hug me and just vomited all over me, herself, the highchair, and the floor. I caught most of it on my shoulder, so lucky we didn't cause to big of a scene. Then se was completely fine after that! Who knows what happened, but I sure do wish it could have held off until after dinner....oh well!!! Next time, we might just stay in for dinner or NOT wait so long.

left over Christmas

CC and Daddy had a fun time playing in the snow and throwing snowballs at me watching from inside. It didn't last too long because Bryan couldn't find his gloves.

Emory decided it would be fun to put stick all the Barbies in the Advent Calendar. She thought this was the funniest thing ever!! Funny girl:):)

Conversation with Emory

( hard to believe she was ever this little)

While at dinner tonight, Emory took Christian's drink....

Me: Emory, whose juice is that?
Emory: mine( while staring at Christian trying to push her button!)
Me: Emmmmmooory, is that your juice?
Emory: no... Hehehehehehe

Conversations with Christian

On the way home from gymnastics tonight:

CC: Um, mama, are you thinkin' what I'm thinkin'......chick-FIL-AAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!,

New Year's Eve-2010

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
I can't believe it's 2011! Where did this year go?
To celebrate the great year we all had, we had our supper club over! It was so much fun. We grilled out hamburgers and visited while the kids played ....the kids are almost out numbering the grown-ups!
Since the Ashford's have a new baby (4week old Charlie who is absolutely precious), they left a little early. So, we celebrated the new year at 10:30! We told the kids to hold their glasses up, and look at what CC did!

They had a great time running around like crazy!

We all cheered too b/c we weren't sure we were going to be able to stay up to midnight ourselves!!

But then we remembered the Joyner's had brought Dance Party 2 for the Wii! It was the best time and I almost wet my pants laughing so hard!!! The first people to dance were the mama's. Luckily Bryan is not that great at taking pictures, so we don't have any proof of that! Then the daddies went and OH MY GOSH.... We were about to die it was so funny! Watch the videos below!

The girls loved it too. I hope these two girls remember this forever....their daddies dancing with them without putting up a fight! I usually have to pump Bryan full of drinks and then sneak him on the dance floor to get him to dance with me!

CC took this very seriously and really enjoyed it!
PLEASE watch all the videos- they are short and hilarious!
Ava and Christian with their daddies......
Look at my hubby go!!!

The guys dancing.....:):):)

Is anyone else about to wet their pants from laughing???!!!

We are going to buy Dance Party 2 tomorrow! It was a blast! Oh....and we did make it to midnight!!! ANDDDDDDDDDDDD, slept until 9:00- all 4 of us! So, it's been a great first day of 2011!
