Emory

CC felt like Emory needed a hat....and E loved it!!!
This is one of Emory's new tricks...when she is laughing or other people laugh, she throws her head down like this.......

And she has learned to talk on the phone. She puts the phone up to her ear and says 'hello' (not really but that's what I think!). Bryan was on the speaker phone in this video but sitting right there, so she was a little confused.

9 month pictures

we had Emory's nine month pictures done by Tyler Plank Photography. Aren't they good??!!!We we so pleased with them and Tyler was GREAT. She had some good ideas of what to do and looked at the pictures to make sure she got a good one before moving on. I would highly recommend her. She runs specials too, so check out her website and her facebook page.

Pinkalicious

Does anyone else have static as bad as we do???!!!

Angela and Sophia came over to sew a cute bday outfit for Sophia (any excuse for the girls to play together!)

The cutest birthday party EVER!

makeup, glitter, manicure, crowns, jewelry, tutus- what more could a girl ask for!!!

photo shoot

Pinkalicious

Once the girls were done over, they got to do a runway walk and a little dance at the end....here is CC's......
Emory has learned how to use the step:):)

We've had a low key week and topped it off with a fun fun fun PINKALICIOUS party for Christian's friend, Sophia. It was perfect for little girls. CC had the best time and can't stop talking about having a pinkalicious birthday party in June!

On a different note...listen to what the Publix check out teenager said to me! CC and I went to the grocery store Friday night- just the two of us. While checking out he said:

boy: " Do you have another child?"

Me: "Yes, another little girl."

boy: "Do you have two other kids?"

Me: "No, just one."

boy: "yeah. I think I've seen you in here and you sometimes can't control of your kids!"

Me: "uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh" (blank stare....)

In the car ride home, I thought of MANY MANY different (not nice) things to say to that idiot! I'd like to think he has me confused with someone else b/c my girls STAY in the cart and are really pretty good at the grocery store. We might be loud talkers but not out of control...UGH!!!!!

love is in the air

Daddy and Emory at CC's Valentine's party

Isn't she cute!?

Emory's first big snow.....sorry that you can't see our faces. We didn't realize it until after we were finished taking pictures.

Emory driving us to meet Mimi and Grandaddy.

gorgeous

Daddy throwing Emory into the snowing air!!

I made these adorable dresses for the girls while they were gone. They are SOOO cute! I love the fabric. I think Emory's might be too big, though.

This weekend, the girls spent the weekend with their Mimi and Grandaddy. So that meant that Bryan and I had the weekend to ourselves:)):) Driving back from dropping the girls off, Bryan and I thought it was so weirdly quiet. then when we got home, we kept thinking the girls were sleeping. But when we got to sleep until 8:30 on Saturday, we were fine!! Of course, we miss our little girls, but we've had a fun, relaxing weekend together. I love my hubby!
We have watched a few movies:
1. Time Traveler's Wife- one of the worst movies we have ever seen. honestly- don't waste your time. makes no sense and is pointless and hard to follow
2. Couple's Retreat- funny and cute
3. Life as a House- one of our favorite movies. It's a great one if you haven't seen it before.
I pick up the girls tomorrow and I can't wait to hug their little necks and hear all about their fun weekend. On the way to see Mimi, Christian told me : "Mama, I needed a necklace to wear to Mimi's. Mimi has a big treasure box that has a LOT of necklaces and I need to have a necklace." She's so cute and loves to play dress up and make up with her Mimi! I'm sure they both are being spoiled rotten and loving every minute!
Happy Valentine's Day!

The modeling world

might not be for us!
this is the outfit from the previous post that matches CCs. Isn't it cute on her....can you tell she wasn't happy about the outfit change?!
I made Emory and CC matching, reversible outfits seersucker outfits! One side is pink seersucker with hot pink butterflies and the other side is green seersucker with white flowers....so cute!

This was my first bubble to make and I am SO proud of it. It took me most of the day on Saturday, but now that I know what to do I think my next one will be easier. It just took a while to figure out what the directions were telling me what to do. Look at those thighs....:)

Check out the two butterflies on the shoulders....they are fabric covered buttons:):) I mean.....I think I am becoming a professional!

I absolutely LOVE bubbles on kiddos!
I even put button snaps on the bottom so you can open it to change her diaper- really pretty easy.

Here is the reverse side of the bubble (I might need to stick a bow in Emory's hair if she's not wearing pink-hehehe). CC decided she wanted to put on her dance recital costume instead of the other side of the dress.
Isn't this a cute costume? She is so excited and we can't wait to see her in action on the stage. In the meantime, I'm going to have to hide this from her so she won't wear it every day!
So, can you tell I am in a sewing mood lately?! We had a low key weekend so I actually had time to make some things for the girls. These matching outfits are my favorite. I now see why it cost so much to buy some clothes b/c it can be frustrating. Bryan said I should sell some things I make.....the only problem is I feel like I should charge at least $600 for each thing I make...not b/c they are perfect....b/c my patience goes out the window and Bryan would have to get a cut since he helped me understand the instructions and he is my thread trimmer.
In other news, CC got her first "report card" and got all M's (mastered the skill) and a few P's(Progressing towards mastery). We always knew she was brilliant, but it feels good to see it on paper!

calling all "sew"ers

I got mine at the Smocking Bird
The shorts are from a different pattern and I didn't do the heart pocket on the top. the pattern above has a pattern for bloomers ( I have a pic of them below). I even made fabric covered buttons!!!! SO EASY! And I used my serger (thanks March!) to make them look professionally made!

I even added a little pocket (notice the hand on CC's hip!)

Here is Emory's matching outfit with a pillow case top and bloomers. Emory couldn't model it b/c she's napping

Here is Emory's outfit using the pattern....cute, huh!

If you have a sewing machine and a little girl, you HAVE to buy this pattern. It is so easy and quick to make (Angela- this is the top I thought we could make for Sophia's bday). The longest part is cutting out the pattern. I think they are perfect little outfits for the summer. Go buy it!!

Nine Months

Emory had her 9 month well baby appointment. She weighs 21 pounds, 4 ounces (90 percentile) and is 29 1/4 inches long (95 percentile). At 9 months CC was 21 lbs, 7 oz and 30 inches longs, so they are close in height and weight.
She is crawling everywhere and pulling up on everything. She is constantly trying to get into her sister's toys and driving CC crazy! She is eating stage 3 baby food and the doctor said to start feeding her more table food. She has 3 8-oz bottles a day, takes 2 naps a day and sleeps from 7:00 p.m. to 6:30 am. She is 'talking' up a storm, answers to her name. If we ask "where's dada, mama, or Christian?", she looks at the correct person. She can hold her own sippy cup but refuses to hold her own bottle (she's no dummy....she knows we'll do it for her:):) The doctor asked if she responds when we say "No". I told him yes, but she doesn't always listen:):)...following in her sister's footsteps. She is truly the happiest baby we have ever met....and the cutest if anyone is asking!!
All in all......she's perfect. But we all know that, right!?
