Our weekend

This weekend we took it easy. Bryan did some landscape work for the church Saturday morning while the girls and I played at home. Then I ran a few errands while bryan and the girls went to Chick-fli-a's daddy daughter date night. He said they all had a fun time! Sunday we went to church and our next door neighbor's bday party! I've also been sewing (surprise!). Here are a few of the new things I've made....

Girls ready for their date with daddy

Date night

My new pattern that I LOOOOOVE.

It has front and back pockets with ruffle on/by the pockets!!! Are they adorable and fairly easy to make once you've done a few.

Miss no-butt! Definitely not a Duncan trait!!!

The girls showing me their pockets!

And my newest things- ruffle ribbon flowers. I saw this on a shirt in a store and decided to try it! It was super easy. The ribbon already comes like this ( you can get it at the smocking bird or hobby lobby). Just use wonder tape (tape that will hold the ribbon in place and you can sew throughout it) to put the ribbon wear you want it. Then sew the ribbon to the shirt. I made the shirt so I just put it on the shirt before I put the sides together. That way it hides all the edges of the ribbon, but the shirt I saw it on they used a large button to hide the raw edges.

Emory in her fancy pants helping me take CC's pic

Isn't it cute for Christmas!!! And the model is pretty cute herself.

And to end this post.....Emory's ABC food!!

Trike-a-Thon

Emory's school had a Trike-a-Thon last week where all the kids brought bikes and raced around the parking lot. A weather stormer chaser, police car, fire truck, and race car came! Bryan went to cheer on Emory in CC's Tangled helmet and her plasma car. He said they all had so much fun.

How cute and funny is she in her helmet?!!

I hope to never see this again

I REALLY REALLY REALLY hope to never see this again!!!!! By the looks of her face, she seems to know it's not a good thing:):):)

Emory's days at school

One of Emory's teachers takes pictures throughout their day so we can see all the fun they are having. Here are a few we've received lately...

Beauty shop- BEFORE shot (not sure what this face is!)

Beauty shop- AFTER shot

Friend day- not so sure they are "best" friends from the look of this picture!!!

Participating in circle time! They have their pictures on the carpet where they sit everyday! How cute!!

Ready for dance! ALL the girls ( there are about 4 others) that their sweet teachers get dressed and ready for dance every week......what a task, but they never complain (to us anyway!!)

Wearing the teacher's shoes!!

Playing with the boys!! We think she has a slight crush on the boy next to her!!!

I just love looking at these pictures with her friends and what she does during the day. This little one is such a spitfire and we just love her to pieces!!! Emory and CC are completely completely COMPLETELY different from each other, and really makes for some interesting parenting! when we sit and tell stories at night about the things they did- funny things Emory said, kind things that Christian did, or some drama that happened with either one, we always end up saying how sweet and nice they are! When we first had CC, that is exactly what we wanted our children to be....NICE- to everyone! everyday and every night,we tell the girls the 2 most important things are to love God in everything you do and to be nice to everyone. Hopefully we have instilled that in our little girlies and they will carry it with them for the rest of their life!
Not sure why I decided to get so sappy all of a sudden, but sometime I just get overwhelmed with how much I love my girls!

Spend the night and pumpkin patch

Christian had her friend from 3k & 4k came to spend the night Friday. They are such great friends and miss each other now that they are at different schools.

Since CC and Emory share a room now, they got to sleep in their playroom. They thought they were so big! They stayed up late coloring, giggling, and playing with their American Girl dolls. I felt a little bad for little Emory- we must of heard "wait for me" a thousand times! She ended up having her own spend the night party with mama and daddy since she didn't have her normal attention from her sissy!

We woke up early and started the process of getting ready to go to the pumpkin patch. Three hours later,we finally made it out the door!!

The girls had a great time, especially Emory! She just loved every second of the pumpkin patch. Every single thing she did was fun to her. At one point she said, " my so happy!"

She wanted me to walk around with her and look at every pumpkin!

CC and Lydia ran off to find the biggest pumpkin....

They rode the tractor- all by themselves!

Then we ran into Sophia and Elise while eating lunch! The girls ate and danced around then we danced while watching the Indian dance!

We fed the farm animals.....

And got super dirty! Then we were DONE after that:):):) after a little bounce house fun, we headed home for naps and some downtime! It was such a fun Friday night and Saturday! I love this time of year:):):)

Mirror day

Our father

Lately, we have been doing our night time routine all together. We pile in one of the girl's bed to read a book then pray. We say the Lord's prayer then take turns saying a prayer. For the past week, everytime we start staying the Lord's prayer she starts giggling and saying passy and when she says her prayer it sounds like she is saying " give us a passy" ( and sometimes it looks like she's got the holy ghost in her- she raises her hands and rocks back and forth when she is praying!!!).
We think we FINALLY figured it out. Tonight she started her prayer with 'Our father" then "give us a passy". We think she is mistaking "forgive us our trespasses" for "give us a passy"!!!!!!! How stinking cute is that!!! We were beginning to think she would never give her her pacifier if she is praying for it every night!!!! She also said " love sissy, love mommy, love daddy, love Georgia". what a cutie

On another note.... Bryan went on a golf trip weekend with some friends, so the girls and I decided to head to Gran and Pawpaw's for 24 hours! We had a fun, quick trip. Emory had her first mani/pedi experience- pink with white dots on her toes and hot green with white dots on her nails. She loved it, but has already peeled every last bit of the green off of her nails. She would not stop until every tiny piece came off!!

Here are my cheapo glasses and new hairdo! Christian keeps telling me that I look like a different person! I would NOT normally put this picture of me on here but it's Emory's first mani/pedi and we need to remember it:):):):)

We went to eat Mexican Saturday night and CC won an Auburn hat out of one of the claw machines!!!! This is her second time to actually win something!! Can you believe it! I've never seen anyone actually get anything!! She was so excited and couldn't wait to show daddy!

A lot going for me...

1. I got a haircut- wanted long layers. Well, the first layer is above my ear with the rest of my hair past my shoulders. Oh, and now I have bangs that I didn't ask for.....Does anyone watch Teen mom (should I be embarrassed that I do:):):) Well, I look like a mix of Tyler's mom and Farrah's mom. So, I will have a pony tail until this mess grows out

2. I went for an eye appt to find out I have some nasty allergic reaction type thing from washing put my contact case WITH WATER!!! What???? (you are supposed to use a new contact case each month and never use water to clean it- only solution).
The doctor wants me to:
a) put steroid and allergy drops in my eyes four times a day for 2 weeks
b) NOT WEAR MAKE-UP for 2 weeks( she's absolutely nuts...I just smiled and okay, but that's not happening)
c) wear glasses for 2 weeks( I didn't even own glasses so I bought a pair for $30----did you even know you could buy glasses for that cheap. Just take a guess what they look like- yup... Not cute!!) and my prescription went from +1.25 to +2.25 in a year!!! I'm slowly going blind!!

So, feel free to ignore me if you see me out in public. I'll be the one with no make-up, cheap glasses, and hair in a pony!! I might have to go shopping so at least my clothes will look cute!!
