convo with Emory

This morning while laying in bed, I mentioned to Emory about giving Santa all her paci's (don't judge- Its only at night and i feel certain she won't be 10 years old with a paci- let's hope anyway). Here's how that went:

Me: Emory, in 3 days we are going to leave Santa all your paci's for the little babies.
Emory: Nooooooo (in a voice like I had just told her a funny joke)
me: your friends at school are leaving Santa their paci's. You can too
Emory: My leave Santa one paci
me: we are going to leave Santa all your paci's.
Emory: NOPE. Santa just need one paci, mama. My need paci to go night night. My give Santa ONE PACI.

Then she refused to talk about it any more. This obviously is not going to work. I guess we'll just do the "oh no- we can't find any paci's" trick and hope that works.

A few funny things

A few funny things Emory has said in the car ride to my parents:

(when asking what she thinks gran and pawpaw got her for Christmas)...
Emory: ."umm, peaches and jelly"
Me: do you think they got you a toy?
Emory: "no, I already have toys, silly mommy"

(we put a pull up on her in case we had an emergency bathroom situation)
E: "My need to teetee"
Me: "you have to go in your pull up because there is no where to stop"
E: "eww- this feel really funny"

(after tee teeing, we put a new pull up and went on with our trip. Later on Emory needed to poopy- I know, TMI)
E: My need to poo poo
Me: try to hold it until we get to pawpaw's house
(a few minutes later)
E: "Mama, My. about. to. POOP. IN. THIS. SEAT

We've got a smart one!!

We got Christian's DIBELS, (a test many states use to test reading skills ) test scores on Friday. She did FANTASTIC!!!! The first row is what they tested, second row was from the beginning of the year, and third row from the middle of the year(now). The first number in each box is what they are expected to make and the number in red is CC's score!!! I'm so proud of her::):):) She's just soaking up everything in school!! As a teacher, I think we put way to much into these scores, but as a mama I couldn't be more proud of my little Christian ::):): I agree with her teacher, who wrote the little note at the bottom of the paper!!!

Just for fun- look at Stewie!!!
