Dinner and a Movie

CC, Andrew, and Mason. I predict that Andrew is not going to have a problem finding a girlfriend when he is older. He is such a lady's man! CC and him just flock to each other the second they are in the same room. They hugged on each other all night!
sweet Brannen with his mama!

David and Bryan

Christian and Andrew with a random hug!

Brannen climbing!

We went to see UP in 3-D.....we all loved it. Great movie!

Even Emory went to the movies. She did cry right when we sat down...nothing a bottle couldn't fix. She did have one little 5 second crying spell but then quit. I'm sure all the other people in the movie theater were SO excited to see us!~

All of us (minus Bryan- taking the picture) with our 3-D glasses on (look at Emory!)

We had a fun night last night..the Ashford clan and our family went for pizza and a movie. It just so happen that the pizza place has a band every Friday night, which was great. The kids ran around and danced while we caught up. Then we headed to the movies! UP is really a cute movie...everyone should see it...not just kids. All the kids did great- including Emory.

Tonight Bryan and Christian are having a father/daughter night at the Barron's games with our church. They were having a 'just dad's and kid's' night tonight. We (okay....maybe more me!!!) thought it would be fun! So, sweet E and I are hanging out laughing and playing on the floor!

Dinner with the girls

With school starting on Monday, we had a little girl's night with some friends from school. We had a fun time catching up and relaxing. I feel so weird not starting the school year and will miss seeing my friends everyday. Although I am VERY excited to be staying home a little while with my girls. Good luck to all the teachers out there.....enjoy your school year.

We have a talker!

Go to Denise's blog, http://scrogginsfamily3.blogspot.com/ to see Emory talk. She loves her voice! In the video, she is talking to herself while looking a mirror. She is going to have the same high pitch voice as her sister. I love this girl!

I AIN'T AFRAID OF NO GHOST!

CC got these little cardboard people for her bday and LOVES them. She loves to "play" with EMory and have the little girls talk to her. It's so cute!

CC reading a book to Emory....more like shoving the book in her face. She must think she has bad eye sight!~
CC crying after I told her to get the book out of E's face....if Emory could talk, I feel like she would say, "Why are you crying? you were shoving the book in my face!
We had an uneventful day today! Just hanging out with my girls. We ran a few errands and played all day ( I sometimes wonder why Christian is not tired after all that playing b/c I sure am!). Chrsitian has been wanting to 'play' more with Emory- sometimes a good thing, sometimes not!.
CC's imagination is also running wild! Her new thing is that there is a ghost in her room. So every now and then screams out that she sees a ghost. We always try to make it so it's not a big deal, so she won't be scared. Last night, she saw one. when Bryan went in to check, this was their converstaion :
C: Daddy, I saw a ghost
B: What did the ghost look like?
C: a man
B: What did the man look like?
C: a lady
B: How many teeth did he have?
C: Her had five. (then laughed)
B. okay
C: night daddy
Easy as that! So, if you ever have a ghost in the house.....call Bryan.

Weekend away!

So, this weekend Bryan and I had a 'stay-cation' at Ross Bridge to celebrate our 5th anniversary. And it was FABULOUS!!!!!!!!!!! Bryan's parents came in town to keep the girls at our house, which was so nice of them- THANK YOU!!!
We got to the hotel around 5:00 on Friday and went straight down to the pool to relax. We ate in the clubhouse then went to bed early. Then we both had spa appointments Saturday morning, which didn't start off so great....I forgot to request a women to do my massage. So- I ended up with a man, which made me not excited AT ALL about my 75 minute mud wrap. I finally got over it but did not find it relaxing in the least! The wanted to chat the whole time and kept fumbling around and knocking the little pod thingy I was in. Come to find out when I was paying that there was a 'drain problem' so they took 20% off of the price. I really think they should have stopped the whole thing and done something else. All the fumbling around was him sopping up water that was getting on the floor!!!! It was still nice, I guess! Bryan really enjoyed his. The rest of the day we hung out by the pool and relaxed.
Okay....and the funniest part of trip was the family reunion that was there.....There were 2 women not in bathing suits and 4 kids in 2nd & 3rd grade- Shawana, Jessica, and 2 other names I cannot pronounce.....Long story short- they could not swim very well but they wanted to go down the slide so bad. I happened to be sitting in the pool while they were talking about it. So, I thought it would be nice if I offered to catch them at the bottom of the slide. So, Bryan and I spent the next 2 hours catching these rather large 8 year olds going down the slide. Then I taught Shawna how to do a handstand in the water (well, not really-she just put her head under the water, but she sure was proud of herself and I was too!!!). They were fun kids and LOVED the slide...so it was worth it. After all that we took naps and ordered room service. PERFECT day (and funny too!) Sunday, I went and got another massage...this time by a women and no 'drain problems' which was fantastic. Then we had the buffet breakfast (with the best cheese grits EVER!) and relaxed by the pool. It was the best weekend ever and much needed. We were excited to get back to our girls though......even though we enjoyed sleeping in, relaxing by the pool, and sitting in silence when we wanted, we sure did miss Christian and Emory.
Now....back to reality!

Random picture of Emory sleeping with her finger in her mouth!
first bubble bath for Emory...look at her looking at her big sister!
love birds!
We actually got to sit and relax! So nice!
