Dega Baby!

heading into 'Dega
sweet Lucy and her Mamma M (Phillip's mom)

I wish you could see their clothes better. Fran's shirt had a picture of the Talladega Nights poster that had Philip's face on the body. Lucy was wearing a dress that Fran made with Nascar fabric .
CC's sign for Phillip!

Emory was so good...just hung out and slept.

The party after his drive! His fastest lap speed was 176 mph!! That makes me nervous!

Emory practicing trying to fit in at 'dega!
Our friend, Phillip, is turning 30 this month. So his wife surprised him with the Dale Jarrett Racing experience at the Talladega Super Speedway. They were over at our house last night, so we were all having to be very quiet about what they were doing. Fran told him they were going to Naccalula Falls to hike and get a 55 minute foot massage- that makes me laugh. So he had no idea that we were all going to watch him race around the track. It was a fun fun time, and their friends and family came from all over. Phillip was so surprised to see everyone and I think he had a fantastic time. Fran- you did good!!!

Fun Friday

CC was excited that I was there- so much that she got up to give me a zerbert in the middle of me talking to the group (talking to 16 3 year olds can be a little intimidating).
CC's friend, Ben. aren't they cute!

playing GO FISH!

I love baby kate! We get to play with her on Sunday while Denise and Bryan take Ava to Disney on Ice! I can't wait

The Skippers came in town- YAY!! More on why tomorrow!

The princes coming in to give a 'true loves kiss'.

dancing the night away!
What a day! It started off with me talking at career day at CC's school. I was so nervous b/c I didn't want the 3 years olds to be bored. So I brought all my fun sensory stuff we use. I started off trying to explain what a disability is...blah, blah, blah. All they wanted was the sensory 'toys'- fine with me! It actually went well and I think CC was proud of me.
Then I got a surprise call from my friend, Mandy, who I haven't seen in FOREVER. We got to spend the afternoon catching up- so great.
Then that night, everyone came over to play. Everyone had a blast......so much that the night ended up with all the dads taking shots out of CC's tea set....some things never change!

Disney on Ice

So, the night before we practiced putting all 19.1 pounds of Emory in the Baby Bjorn to see if our backs could handle it. Bryan volunteered to wear it while at the show. Then he chickened out....I think he felt silly! She absolutely loved being in it as you can tell!
our seats were great and close to the stage.

All the 'stuff' that CC had to have while we were there.. bring lots of money if you plan on taking your kids.....

Emory loves to get zerberts from her daddy!

Can you tell CC was having a blast!

Chip from Beauty and the Beast

CC had the best time.
We headed to Disney on Ice last night. I bought the tickets right when Emory was born- when all she did was sleep (not really thinking that she wouldn't continue to do that!). Luckily, she was great and even watched all the lights for a little while. She lasted for about 45 minutes before falling asleep. CC on the other hand was wide awake and loving every minute of all the dancing and singing. I wished we lived closer to my aunt Pat- she used to take me plays and musicals all the time when I was younger. I loved all of them and I think CC would too!

6 month stats!

Before I begin....don't you just want to pinch her little thighs and give her a little zerbert on her belly.
I just can't get enough of this little girl. I LOVE being home with her and watching her learn something new everyday. Emory is 19.1 pounds and 27.5 inches long- both the 95 percentile (CC was 19.7 lbs and 28 inches at 6 months). She is VERY smart- she can roll over from her back to her front and has realized that it is okay to sleep on her belly instead of waking up screaming. She naps 1.5 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon. She goes to bed around 7:30 and wakes up around 7:00. (knock on wood this will continue). She is sitting up by herself and grabbing at everything, which her sister can't stand b/c she now wants to play with Christian's toys. She puts EVERYTHING in her mouth and drools constantly. We are eating solid foods 2-3 times a day. Dr. A said she could start eating the meat baby food (yucky, but I'm sure she'll love it!). She is in a big girl car seats and loves it b/c she can look out the window and see her sister better while in the car. Overall, she is perfect and the prettiest little baby I know.

Controlled chaos!!!!

the kidds of Mama & Me
CC loved this little queen chair...she would sit in it and stare at herself in the mirror!
The babies of the group!

sweet Evey!

sweet Vivy

Emory and daddy hanging out. Look at those chunky legs in her leg warmers!! I LOVE IT!

some of the mamas and kids.

We had the first dinner with the 'Mama and Me' small group. It was a lot of fun, but whenever you get that many kids together it is kinda chaotic! Wouldn't you agree??!!! It didn't help with the time change. When it was only 6:00 and all the kids still felt like it was 7:00. Just about every child started falling apart since it was so close to bedtime! Oh well....it was still fun to visit with everyone. Can't wait to do it again!

Trick or Treat!

This was CC last year. she still makes this face (and the loud screaming sound) when she is super excited (notice the face in the 3rd pictures):):)
what a cute model!

out of control excited!

2 ladybugs (3 if you count Bryan-hehehe- he put Emory's on his head to be funny and forgot they were there), a mouse, and a kitty cat

We ran into Amy and baby Harris. She was born the same day as Emory and is in the same class as Elise.

This house was decorated boo-tifully (as word Bryan came up with). Their front yard was like a graveyard and they even had lights and sounds set up. This monster scared the you-know-what out of CC, but I really wanted a pictures. We told her to say BOO to him and for some reason she wasn't scared of him anymore. Whatever works!

Check this guy out!! We think it's a dad of a boy on CC's soccer team. We'll find out on Thursday.

My little ladybug did so well until the end when she was letting us know (very loudly) that she was hungry. Luckily we were close to the car!

the trick-or-treaters with their mommas

What a fun day! While Bryan and Stephen went to the Auburn/Ole Miss game (WAR EAGLE!!!), Angela, all 4 of the girls, and I hung out at our house. First, we made a trip to Joann's to buy fabric b/c I was going to show Angela how to make the cute dress and pants. While there the girls were very well behaved to us, but not to one of the workers, Greg. The girls found a pink and white tutus. So they would take them off to show us (I think to try to get us to buy them! )They kept saying "Mommy, this is beautiful!". Then they would put them back where they got it. Well, this really bothered Greg. While Sophia was showing Angela the tutu he came over and yelled at her "Put that back right now" and some other stuff. It scared her to death. The rest of the trip her and CC kept talking about mean man.

Anyway, we then headed back to our house to sew and play. It was such a fun afternoon and the girls actually took a nap with the bribe of going trick-or-treating that night. Once the guys got back we all went trick-or-treating. It was so much fun and the girls were beyond excited about all the candy! CC is already asking when we are going trick or treating tonight.....

Halloween parade

Ms. Celia's class heading in. Bryan and I weren't sure how CC would act since she can be really shy sometimes, but she was eating up the attention and waving to everyone like she was in a pageant!

They showed off what they do everyday in circle time. All the kids were super quiet and wouldn't talk!

Emory enjoyed watching her sister. She was so good during the parade and party.

Look at this face. Whew....we are in for it in her teenage years. I'm not sure why she was making this face b/c she was so excited and in a good mood.

reading their Halloween book they made.

Today was Christian's Halloween parade at her school. All the kiddos were so cute and so proud of their costumes. Afterwards they had a pizza party and showed off all they have learned so far this year. Bryan and I kept looking at each other while they were showing us circle time b/c CC tries to act just like Ms. Celia when she is playing school at home. Now it all makes sense! I loved every second of watching CC with her friends at school. She is so stinkin' cute!
