Easter 2010

The Easter bunny came to visit
He brought CC a spongebob movie (ugh.....but she loves it!) and roller skates. I'm excited to see if she enjoys roller skating.

Emory kissing her new miniature baby doll

Look at what the Easter Bunny brought Bryan!!!!!!!!!!!!

We took Easter pictures after church (my camera was accidentally on a different setting that made the pics turn out in sepia)

we have the same picture of Christian in her Easter basket! Emory loved it and would have sat like this all day :)

my beautiful little girls!

We had a wonderful Easter morning. We actually all 6 got ready, looked through our Easter baskets, had breakfast, and were out the door by 7:45 for early church- WHEW! The service was great and Christian was perfect the whole time. Then pictures, brunch, and naps.....another perfect day. I don't want the weekend to end. Happy Easter to all!

It doesn't get any better

This is Emory's "I-need-to-go-to-bed-or-I-am- going-to-have-a-meltdown" face....still a cute pic!

Papaw, CC, and Gran out to dinner Saturday night.

My parents came in town for Easter. After they got here, CC, my mom, and I headed to get a mani/pedi. Christian picked a gorgeous hot blue color for her nails :):)and hot pink for her feet. Then met Daddy, Papaw, and Emory for a relaxing lunch at Diplomat Deli- YUMMY! After a little shopping and naps, we went to dinner. It was a fun, relaxing day.....doesn't get any better than that!

Good Friday

We spent the ENTIRE day outside today as a family-planting flowers, swinging, jumping in our new (early bday present for both girls)bounce house, and having a picnics. It was the best day we have had in a long time!

Good Thursday

Emory loved being with all the 'big' kids. she always gets a ton of attention!

This little girl in CC's class LOVES LOVES LOVES Emory!
All the kids call Emory 'Baby'. One of the little girls came over to me with a very serious voice and asked "Is her name really Baby?"

We have a new coach this year for soccer- a 16 year old girl who plays soccer and is great with the kids. Christian does so much better this season! There were still a few tears b/c 'they wouldn't give her the ball', but she quickly got over it!

Elise and Emory played 'take-each-others-pacifier-and-lovey' all night

I LOVE this spring weather
What a fun Thursday! Christian's class had an Easter Egg Hunt and Party then soccer at night. It's been great weather here and we've had a fun time playing outside.
I am so proud of CC and her soccer skills! She is really good. During the fall season, I was worried that she was going to have my athletic ability which is non-existent. But after watching her play last night, I think she might have gotten Bryan's athleticism- whew! Now we just need to work on her dancing ability (and it doesn't matter who she got that from b/c she will need a lot of help!!)

crafts

today we began making Easter eggs. While the girls were napping I boiled the eggs.
As I was cooling them off, I started thinking about how yummy egg salad sounded. then I started peeling the eggs! UGH!!! I was so mad at myself! I forgot what I was doing....major brain fart!

So, tomorrow we will continue our princess Easter egg making. and hopefully I won't have a craving for egg salad again! (do you see the Halloween picture hanging on the wall. for some reason, CC loves to hang this picture in various places around the house)
I can't tell you what this is, but it's awesome!

more info next week! I just had to give you a 'sneak peek'!

weekend

This is how we ended our weekend! Bryan took Christian to bed and didn't make it out! After about 1.5 hours, I decided to check out the situation- this what I found!
our Sunday School class had a craw fish boil on Saturday- everyone had such a fun time.

60 lbs of crawfish!

even though she is a little under the weather, she had fun

the gumbo was great!!!!:)

we cleaned out Christian's bow drawer- Emory found a few that she wanted!

a few first

(this isn't really a first...just a picture of CC at a birthday party)
First #1: CC had her first field trip on Friday. Her class walked a few blocks to the ice cream store down the street from the school. She was so excited she could hardly stand it.

Everyone had a mommy or daddy with them, so they all felt special while heading to get ice cream at 9:30 in the morning in 50 degree weather! Whatever....ice cream is good no matter what time or temp, right!!!???

Her favorite, Ms. Celia

Then we headed to eat dinner with our great friends, the Scroggins and Ashford's (Ass-birds as CC says!). First #2: The kids had a booth all to themselves. We were at the table across from them, so we could intervene at any moment, but they were really good and super excited to act like big kids!

uh-oh!!

Okay- so the 2 girls have a crush on Andrew (the blond that you can't see b/c Ava and CC are on top of him). Ava's face is pretty unhappy that CC decided to come over and interrupt! CC did have specific sitting arrangements where she sat by Andrew and Ava sat on the other side! Have they already started fighting over boys!!
First #3: Little Emory is on her first prescription of antibiotics:((:( After dinner last night, I noticed Emory felt a little warm. And she didn't sleep well at all last night and seemed to very sensitive. After a few test run at the doctor they put her on antibiotics (not contagious, so nobody worry!!). I feel so bad for her when she isn't feeling well......breaks my heart.
First #4: CC is going to her first craw fish boil tonight and I made red velvet cake balls for the first time! I know she will have so much fun with some of her friends from school- she even put herself to nap so she could wake up in time to go!!!
