This day last year

This day last year, our families were making their way to B'ham to meet our new daughter. I was overwhelmed with 'how am I going to handle life with TWO little one". Now looking back, it seems like this is always how it's been...chasing two kiddos around, taking Emory into Christian's room to wake her up, kissing two sweet faces, and tickling 4 little feet! I remember looking at Christian and worrying that I just couldn't possibly love Emory as much as her. Boy was I wrong. As soon as I laid eyes on my baby girl, I was head over heels in love- just like with Christian.

Nacho average fiesta

My hair was slowly becoming one big ball of frizz with all the rainy weather.

Shanna with her mom and sister

The only picture I got with the bride and groom to be

This weekend, we had a shower for Shanna and Jason who are getting married in May. Friday night we went to Do Di Yo's and I LOVED IT! The atmosphere, food, drinks- everything was great! Saturday day we watched movies and took it easy since the weather was so yucky. Saturday night was the party and it was a blast. We had Mexican cater it with margaritas. YUMMY! Even though it was nasty weather, we all had a great time celebrating Shanna and Jason.

The difference.....

between Christian and Emory- CC is/was a daredevil, try anything type of girl. Emory- NOT SO MUCH!

Emory will not even go down this stair without help! But today I was determined that she was going to try it.
She thought otherwise and we had a 20 minute battle.

She would start to do it, then decide it was too dangerous!

Oh....she was so mad at me!!!!!!

On another note, I went into the smocking bird the other day to get somethings monogrammed and ran into some fabric that was calling my name! So I decided to sew some more!

I bought a new pattern with panties or shorts that have elastic ruffles on the bottom. ADORABLE ! Although, with Emory's chucky monkey legs I will have to add more elastic...hehehe!
Here is a glimpse into a few seconds of the show-down Emory and I were having to get her to go down that damn stair.....ultimately she won and I helped her. I'm a sucker!

Soccer fans

We're just hanging out drinking coke,
talking on the phone!

Papaw came to watch CC play! We were so excited that he got to see her in action.

We had a fun time!

This is my attempt to get a semi group pic....not happening

Emory met a friend!
My dad came in town on Thursday to visit then take the girls home with him while we gave a wedding shower on Saturday. Thursday night we had a blast at the soccer park with our friends and Papaw. The plan was to get up Friday morning and they would head out. Well, guess who woke up throwing up----------- CHRISTIAN!!!!!!!! I'm not sure if she was so excited to be going to Papaw and Gran's for the weekend (do you remember Christmas 2009).or what the issue was, but she did get over it after a little while and was fine the rest of the weekend. THank you Dad for coming all this way to drive them all the way back! You're the greatest and we love ya. Maybe next soccer game, we'll score a goal for ya!!!

The Juice Boxes~

Today for Earth Day, CC's class is celebrating by dressing up to be in a "Rock" 'n Roll Band. They came up with the name THE JUICE BOXES! I can't wait to hear all about it when Miss Rock Star gets home.
We also have soccer tonight and CC will have a fan to watch her- PAPAW !!! My dad is coming in town tonight, just in time to watch Christian in action. Then he is heading back to GA with the girls while Bryan and I throw a wedding shower for my oldest, greatest friend, Shanna!

Weekend Recaps

This princess was singing to the crowd and CC decided she needed to be up there with her!

(just wanted to stick this pic in here. CC went to the dentist on Tuesday. She was such a big girl! Big girl, Emory will be going along with CC in October for her first dentist appointment. )
This past weekend we headed to the Mt. Laurel's Spring Festival. We had such a fun time shopping, eating, shopping, jumping, etc...... This will definitely be a on our list of things to do each year.
one week and one day from today my baby turns ONE!
