Big birthday weekend~

This party could have been in a magazine...absolutely perfect!

Beautiful Georgia and her proud grandparents!

These two girls are going to be great great friends. I just know it!

little Miss Priss....adorable. She would pick the little pink balls of frosting off so neatly.

Emory's BFF, Georgia, was born 2 days before Emory and were two doors down from us in the hospital. So, she is Emory's longest friend! Georgia's party was the cutest thing EVER and Georgia looked adorable in her birthday dress and new haircut!
I can't wait to watch these two grow up together and spend many more years celebrating their birthday back to back!
Happy Birthday sweet Georgia! We love ya

Emory's Day

I'm so happy! (don't comment on the sloping cake that is being held up by toothpicks!)
Ohhhh...it's so hard to watch your sister dig into a cake and you aren't allowed to touch it yet.....it's almost impossible!

Whew- this is GOOD!

OKAY Mama- I'm about to POP!

Her birthday bath

opening a few presents from CC. Her party is in a few weeks, but you can't have a birthday without a present, right!?
standing up ALL BY HERSELF! love her little pot belly
Christian got her a tunnel and she LOOOOOVES it!

A birthday trip to the park after her birthday cake, presents, and bath. We were supposed to spend the afternoon at the zoo, BUUUUTTTTTT we all took a birthday nap and didn't wake up in time.

FUN

this makes everyone nervous!
We all had a fun time on Emory's birthday! And guess what she did the day after her birthday- SHE WALKED!!! Finally-I thought for sure that this little girl was going to be carried around on my hip for many more months to come b/c she has had no interest in standing or walking. Then all of a sudden, the week of her birthday, she started standing. Then took 8-10 steps on Saturday. Guess she felt older?!

How would you like to be our neighbor?!

this is what Christian does most days when playing outside. I have to sneak to video her b/c she immediately stops if I step outside. She is singing "Party in the USA". American Idol- here we come!

And....who else likes the new Usher song- OMG!!! If so, come on over and dance with Emory!

Happy Happy Birthday

to my dear sweet Emory

On April 30 2009 you were born at 8:51. WE instantly fell in love with all 9 pounds, 13 ounces, 21 1/4 inches of ya! You are the sweetest, happiest baby I know, and you couldn't be more loved than you are already. When you are older and reading this, know that we love you more than ANYTHING baby girl. You and your sister make me happier than ever. Enjoy your birthday.

your first kiss ever!

Daddy introducing Christian to you. Can you see the excitment in her eyes?!

I Love those chubby chubby cheeks!

Christian can't wait to be your best friend

and I can't wait to love you forever!

This day last year

This day last year, our families were making their way to B'ham to meet our new daughter. I was overwhelmed with 'how am I going to handle life with TWO little one". Now looking back, it seems like this is always how it's been...chasing two kiddos around, taking Emory into Christian's room to wake her up, kissing two sweet faces, and tickling 4 little feet! I remember looking at Christian and worrying that I just couldn't possibly love Emory as much as her. Boy was I wrong. As soon as I laid eyes on my baby girl, I was head over heels in love- just like with Christian.

Nacho average fiesta

My hair was slowly becoming one big ball of frizz with all the rainy weather.

Shanna with her mom and sister

The only picture I got with the bride and groom to be

This weekend, we had a shower for Shanna and Jason who are getting married in May. Friday night we went to Do Di Yo's and I LOVED IT! The atmosphere, food, drinks- everything was great! Saturday day we watched movies and took it easy since the weather was so yucky. Saturday night was the party and it was a blast. We had Mexican cater it with margaritas. YUMMY! Even though it was nasty weather, we all had a great time celebrating Shanna and Jason.

The difference.....

between Christian and Emory- CC is/was a daredevil, try anything type of girl. Emory- NOT SO MUCH!

Emory will not even go down this stair without help! But today I was determined that she was going to try it.
She thought otherwise and we had a 20 minute battle.

She would start to do it, then decide it was too dangerous!

Oh....she was so mad at me!!!!!!

On another note, I went into the smocking bird the other day to get somethings monogrammed and ran into some fabric that was calling my name! So I decided to sew some more!

I bought a new pattern with panties or shorts that have elastic ruffles on the bottom. ADORABLE ! Although, with Emory's chucky monkey legs I will have to add more elastic...hehehe!
Here is a glimpse into a few seconds of the show-down Emory and I were having to get her to go down that damn stair.....ultimately she won and I helped her. I'm a sucker!
