Halloween (very late:):))

For Halloween this year, Emory was a clown and CC was a butterfly. She wanted to wear her old dance recital costume, so I found some butterfly wings to add to it. We had many chances to wear our halloween costumes! We headed to Boo at the Zoo with our great friends, the Meachams!

Last year, the girls LOVED this talking pumpkin and could have stayed there all night talking to it. They remembered it from last year rushed right to it when we got there.

We watched a Scooby Doo play.

and went to the dance party- always fun to watch!

it's funny how they remember what they did from the year before and want to do the same thing!

For Halloween night, we got together with our Sunday School class to trick or treat! It was a blast!

So many children!!!

My class for Halloween- we trick or treated around the church! It was so much fun. I completely stressed out over my costume b/c I DO NOT usually like to dress up but knew I had to. So I wore black, bought a cape and put on a witch headband. :):) Isn't my class adorable!

christmas fun

We've been super busy doing Christmas activites!

CC had her Christmas program at school. All the 3k, 4k, and 5k kids were in the program and we started practicing right after Thanksgiving. All the kids did such a great job. We check CC out of school to come watch and it made Emory so happy!

At one point Emory got so embarrassed she turned completely around with her back to the audience!

We took Emory and her BFF Georgia to see the nutcracker. They had a blast!

We had our Night in Bethlehem at church. I had to work a booth, so Bryan took the girls around.
Emory really did have fun, even though it doesn't look like it! So much fun, she said 'I want to do that every day of my life!"

the girls have started giving money in the offering at big church. They will get money out of their piggie banks each Sunday (CC usually chooses to give a little more than Emory- ha!) THey want to fill out an envelope that I do to put their money in. And the church has sent a statement of their offering in the mail. I don't know if they do this for everyone, but it absolutely made my girls' day!

 Emory's class on pajama day!

Stewie has arrived and doing some silly things around our house!

 Emory the elf!

Silly Stewie (we are REALLY running out of ideas-ha!)

Christmas party

We have an awesome Sunday School class! i just love it. We've made some wonderful friends through the class and it's been a great way to get involved in our church.
Not only have we gone ball room dancing and had a nineties party (complete with 90's music and 90's clothes!), we also did a dress up Christmas party this year. Everyone dressed up in their favorite Christmas character attire.
After seeing Christmas vacation, Bryan and I decided to go as Ellen and Clark Griswold. I ordered most of our costumes on Ebay.

When the hat came in, the girls had a great time playing with it. It will now go into their dress up stash!

 ha!!

Bryan was THE PERFECT Clark Griswold stuck in the attic! He wore PJ's, pink gloves, fur wrap, and green turban! Everytime I look at this picture I can't help but laugh. And he stayed in costume most of the night. It was hard to carry on a serious conversation with him in that hat!
I forgot to take a picture of myself, but I will get a copy of one and post it later.

Here are all the Eddie's! Hilarious!

Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving we headed to Nashville to be with Mimi and Grandaddy! CC had the whole week off, so the girls went on Sunday and Bryan and I came Wednesday night after work.
The girls had so much fun while they were there and want to live in their neighborhood so bad!

It was beautiful weather so the girls did a lot of bike riding.
CC learned how to ride a bike while we were there!!! YAY- she won't be like me riding around with training wheels until 3rd grade- ha! We couldn't find her helmet so she is wearing her softball helmet- and good thing b/c she took many falls while learning to ride her bike~

She finally did it!!!  And wants a bike without training wheels for Christmas (and a non princess one so she won't be embarrassed:):)
And since CC wants a bike for Christmas, so does Emory. That is all she is asking Santa for.  A pink bike- and as you can see, she already has a pink bike that she got for her bday. She is not budging on the bike thing, so I think Santa is bringing her a pink big wheel bike like she rides at church. hopefully that will do b/c Santa thinks it's silly to buy the same bike that she already has.

While the boys played in a golf tournament on Saturday, we went to the downtown Franklin theater to watch The Griswold's Christmas vacation. The girls loved it and thought it was hysterical. It was really fun and I got some great ideas for our Sunday School Christmas dress up party! Then we walked around the little town to do some shopping and lunch. The girls were really good and it was a fun girls day while the boys played golf!

CC wants to be an artist like her Mimi. So they always do some sort of art when together. This year they made a Thanksgiving banner with all of their blessings on it. I think it's perfect!

When we got home we decorated our house for Christmas! This is the girls' tree in their room- aren't those eyes fun! I love it!

UGH...so behind

Okay- so I am SOOOOOOO behind on my blog and I am going to attempt to catch up before Christmas. I am mad at myself for getting so behind because I didn't 'write down' all the funny funny things that my girls have said in the past few months (for example- Emory's latest thing is talking on her  pretend phone to daddy's pretend brother (brudder) that she named Pooda. Pooda calls all the time while he is in on vacation. Then when Aunt Paige talks to Pooda and asks EMory if he is her brother too, Emory just looks at Paige like she is a loony tune and says "um....he's pretend!")
One excuse I'm giving is I am using all my craftiness and blogging/picture taking lately on my ten little four years that I spend the day with. I ABSOLUTELY love every one of them and they ABSOLUTELY drive me crazy just like my own kids.  I do so many crafts during the day I haven't wanted to sew and I take so many pictures of them during the day and put them on my class website. So then I don't want to blog about my own children. But it's worth it since I get to spend more time (less blogging) with my girlies during the day.

Okay...enough explaining.....I'm starting with our Christmas pictures-
We were being super cheap and didn't want to pay anyone to take a picture. So I had the brilliant idea to take a tripod out to the log cabin behind CC's school to take a family pic. When got there, there was a professional photographer with a ton of equipment taking REAL pictures of another family. and we walked up with our tiny tripod and camera. Bryan was super embarrassed and didn't want to go. But I insisted b/c we all bathed and got ready and I refused to NOT take a picture!

So, after about 500 pictures and running back and forth to set the timer, we ended up with some cute pictures!
I really wanted to get more of just the girls but Emory needed to use the bathroom- ugh!!

and this has nothing to do with christmas pictures, but I DID SEE Breaking Dawn 2 the same weekend we took the pictures! OOOOOOH MYYYYYY GAAAA- SO good! Just talking about it makes me want to see it again!!

softball game

Christian had another softball this Sunday, and Mimi and Granddaddy came up to watch her in action!

CC was so excited to have fans in the stands, but we were instructed not to yell really loud and embarrass her!

I got to wear my team shirt for the first time!
How cute are the shirts!
The softball player and Daddy the coach in the background :)

Emory got bored and decided to put make up on- ha!

The Orange Slime won again!
GO #25!!!!

fun day

Today Emory's class dressed up in their favorite nursery rhyme and went on a parade around the school. This whole week they have learned different nursery rhymes and made the cutest crafts to go along with them.

Emory is Little Bo Peep- really she is Cinderella with a sheep puppet!

Her pretty teachers were dressed up as Hickory Dickory Dock!

The 4k went on a field trip to Children's Theater! And I was one of the van drivers! At the girls' old school parent went and drove the kids, but we took the van! I was so nervous, but it really wasn't bad (just had to ignore the beeping when I went in reverse!). We could have just put them on the van and drove around for 30 minutes. They thought it was SO cool to all be in the van together!

We saw The Gingerbread Boy and got our picture together with the actors afterwards. Isn't my group adorable!
