Prayer from Christian

Christian's prayer tonight was:

"Dear God, please help me find my destiny."

What in the world!!!! I'm not sure where that came from.

She also says the Lord's prayer (we are so proud of her for knowing and remembering it) word for word, except for "give us this day our daily BREATH" :):):) it's too cute to tell her otherwise- we just giggle every night when she says it.

down time and kidney check

Daddy was showing her how to model.

I TRIED to sneak a picture of him, but he would stop every time

I have a feeling he is going to regret teaching Emory how to pose like this!!!

and the same 3T that fits little Emory, fits skinny minnie Christian!

Today I took the day off for a doctor's appointment for me at 9:00 and Emory's yearly check to see if her kidney reflux has improved at 2:00. At 8:15, my doctor's appointment was canceled. So I had a few hours to kill before getting Emory. I bought this swimsuit pattern a while ago and have been dying to make it! SO that's what I did from 8:15-1:00. I think it turned out pretty cute! I am going to monogram the front to make it even cuter!

Emory's appointment went really well. She was perfect and even got the 'best patient of the day award' during her ultrasound. Her VCUG was a little traumatic only b/c of the noise of the big X-ray machine that was over her. She kept yelling 'Mommy, move dat' over and over! The doctor said that her kidney reflux hasn't gotten any better but hasn't gotten any worse- which is good. He said that once she were potty trained, it would more than likely improve. Emory was perfect for everything every nurse kept stopping to give her prizes and stickers! She walked out of there like she owned the place!

Mt. Laurel Spring Festival

We went to Botanical Gardens on a field trip with my school on Friday. We saw this 'wild' owl while walking around! creepy, huh?!

We headed to the Mt. Laurel Spring Festival today. Doesn't CC look cute in her new outfit from Mimi?! She loves it- including the shorts, which she never wears (but she says they look like a skirt...works for me!)

We saw the Scroggins there- Ava and Christian were so excited to see each other. So glad we saw them.....it's been too long!

Emory did great even though it was nap time. Her bday is in 21 days! TWO YEARS OLD!!!!!!!

The girls got a 'princess up-do' with a crown right when we got there.....so we had to walk around with our hair like this for the rest of the day :0

Sweet baby Kate! I can't believe she is 18 months already...our girls are growing too fast.

Bryan with Kate and princess Ava and princess Christian at lunch.

Have you ever been to Mt. Laurel spring festival......a lot of fun for the kids and great shopping! We have taken great naps today and gotten a little sun on our faces!

class of 2011 :)

(this is a picture of a picture, so not the best)

I mean.....don't you just want to jump through this picture and kiss her sweet face?! She looks so happy! When did my baby grow up?! They are having a gradation ceremony at her school and I might bawl my eyes out (really I might considering I cried when I just saw this picture for the first time)

ummmmmmmm.....no comment....I'm thinking the same thing y'all are!

Is it just me or is this girl beautiful!?
I ordered the most precious picture of Emory with the best smile and one of both the girls smiling AND both looking at the camera. Once they come in, I'll show you!

whatever floats your boat

Emory LOVES to have a tea party, complete with pouring us a drink, giving cheers, and feeding us food she has made. She now wants to eat dinner out of her cups....whatever works- she ate her entire butter noodles (if you need the recipe....just let me know:):):):)

Easter Egg Hunt/BBQ

This weekend we had our Sunday School Class over for BBQ and an Easter Egg Hunt! It was such a fun time. I'm so glad we've found a wonderful group.
With around 40 people there- about 20 of them were kids (CC being the oldest!!), this cute little one did not leave my side. She is not a 'big crowd' type of girl. She had a fun time, but was at my feet the entire night---completely opposite of her sister, who I didn't see until the party was over!

Bryan smoked 23 pounds of Boston Butt Friday night/morning (started at 7:00 pm and was finally finished at 2:00 AM!!- it was well worth it b/c it was FANTASTIC!
We had two bounce houses set up, bubbles, swings, slides, and a sandbox. So the kids were having a blast.

Everyone brought plastic eggs with surprises inside. All the daddies hid the eggs.....

while the mommas piled the kids into the playroom....controlled chaos!

It was so fun to watch all the kiddos hunting for eggs. Since CC was the oldest and filled her bag up quickly, she was collecting eggs for others- so sweet.

Emory opened one of her eggs and found bubbles and couldn't have been happier.

spring break '11

We have had the best spring break EVER! I think Christian said it best..."I want to see my friends, but I don't want spring break to be over. I like being at home with you" We have not done much of anything, but it's been absolutely perfect.

We've spent most of our days outside playing in the backyard. One morning, we took a trip to Toys R Us for a bubble machine...the best $14 ever spent.
Here is Emory letting the bubbles touch her belly!

I also bought a little kit to make ballon shapes. The girls loved it, but I'm not sure what I was thinking...I have NO idea how to make balloon animals or anything with a balloon. I came up with tying balloons together and calling it a rainbow. It worked for CC!

I made Emory a hat that she loved. I think I probably pumped up 50 balloons and made 15 different hats and rainbows! (don't tell the girls, but I threw the kit away.....it was hard work and I don't really want to do it again..ha!

We ate picnic lunches and dinners whenever we could! They loved it and ate more than they usually do.

I think this spring break, the girls realized that they are not only sisters but friends. Bryan and I have loved watching them play together- not just pick and get on each others nerves. Christian is a great big sister and has taught Emory a lot. She is so cute when she is teaching Emory something. She'll say, "Okay Emory, let's learn how to walk down the stairs without sitting." "Now let's learn how to run up the hill." "Now let's learn how to get in the swing by ourself" (that one didn't work too well!). Emory would do everything CC would say and loved the attention from her.

Thursday we headed home to see my parents and my cousin who now lives in Dallas. I was really excited to see her....and she is making a little cousin in her belly for the girls to play with! She finds out on Tuesday what she is having and I can't wait to find out....I feel like it's me who is preggers and finding out!

The girls had so much fun and were spoiled rotten at Gran and Pawpaw's house. CC LOVES to ride her bike up and down their drive way.

Have I ever mentioned that Emory loves to talk about her toes? Here is Courtney blowing bubbles on her toes.

I headed back by myself on Friday so Bryan and I could get some much needed yard work done. The girls had so much fun at Gran and Pawpaws that they did not want to come back with us. From this picture, I think Gran and Pawpaw had just as much fun! Christian told us that she wants to stay there for 48 days!
