organized

Today, while Emory was taking her nap, I decided to organize my fabric. I got the idea from pinterest and ordered some comic boards to wrap all my fabric. They now fit onto my shelf like books! It took a while, but it looks so much better and now I know what fabric I have (and I guess Bryan can now lead me straight to these shelves when I talk about buying more fabric!!!!)

Doesn't this look SO much better?!!! It used to be thrown in a basket and was a mess. In my next life, I will have a huge sewing room with with shelves to keep my fabric, a table to cut my patterns, and a place to keep all my machines. Wouldn't that be nice:)

Then I folded and organized all my scraps for appliqués.

Now to start sewing all the patterns I have recently cut out- cute new dresses, bathing suits, cute shorts and capris for the spring

Our weekend so far

Christian auditioned this morning for a part in the Sleeping Beauty play her ballet company is putting on!!! She was very well behaved and tried her best! We'll find out out this week if she got a part. Her teacher told me that most of the little ones get a part, so let's hope that's true!

(bad phone picture) We had plans to participate in our church's 'great day of service' today, but instead Bryan and Emory (cc and I went after her audition) spent the morning at the doctor's office. Stuff is going around Emory's school and she had a horrible horrible horrible night sleep (so that meant the rest of us did too- except Christian who can sleep through anything!). She has a virus and blisters all over her throat:(:( so we are taking it easy and having a low key weekend getting better. She's having a long, much needed nap. - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone

A few things that are cute:):):)

At the beginning of the year we made little cards with things we say to christian- 5 different ones so she would have one for each day of the week. We write little notes on them every day she takes her lunch. Well last night she wrote us one-unprovoked!!!! How cute and sweet is our Christian!!! How what good handwriting:):)

Emory came to us asking for a dryer. She set up a beauty parlor for her American girl doll!!!

She took this very seriously- "her hair has lot of tangles!!!"I

PS---(way too much information, but too funny to not try to remember and tell Emory when she's older!!) when Emory pooped today she looked in the potty and said "HUGE poop. Like efanant (aka - elephant) poop" she looked right at bryan and said in a serious voice, "that's how efanants poop daddy. Efanants poop HUGE"

EB Blog

I've been following this little boy, Tripp, blog for a while. I don't know them at all, but think and pray for him and his mama often. He is the same age as Emory, so I think that is why I can't get this little boy off my mind. He is confined to his house and has not moved in months. His mind is like any other normal 2 1/2 year old, so I know he wants to be running around 90 to nothing and getting into everything. But he  can no longer see, speak, or move. He has a skin disease called EB, and he is not doing well at all (with only days or weeks left of his little life).
Please pray for this little boy and his mom to get through this time with peace. I am so so so sad that his mommy is having to watch the love of her life, who she has dedicated every second of her day, go through this. Read her latest update (and her whole blog if you have a few hours and a box of kleenex), and pray for her and her baby.

It kinda hurts

Emory took a big fall today while at CC's dance class. We were in the bathroom and I opened the door. she went under my arm and tripped on a door stop on the bottom of the door. She did a HARD face plant right onto the tile floor. Blood was everywhere and Emory was shaking and screaming like I've never heard her do before (i was freaking out and trying not to cry). Moms were trying to help but Emory wanted nothing to do with anyone. After about 20 minutes we finally got in the car and headed home. By the time we were home, her lip looked like this.....

It eventually stopped bleeding and she cuddled up with sissy while she rubbed her arm. I felt so bad for her and it was hurting "weally weally kinda bad"

She finally ate a Popsicle and let us put ice on it.

Poor baby!!!!! She's back to normal now but every now and then she'll say "it kinda hurts mama" - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone

cold day outside

We all get back to reality tomorrow :(:(- back to work and school. It's been the BEST Christmas break for all of us!

For about 4 months I have been trying to come up with a tag to use when I sew my girlies clothes. I'm not going to ever start a business with my sewing, so I didn't want to come up with a 'company name' to put on my tags. I did order some that had a sewing machine and the word 'made' on it but didn't really like it. So I kept obsessing over it and trying to get Bryan to help me. I tried to think of something that the girls and I do that would remind them of me. We always squeeze each others hands three times, which means I love you. And CC and I do the sign language sign for I love you all the time. So that's what I ended up really liking.

So one of the many times I was searching for labels to get I mentioned to Bryan my idea and to have 'God loves you' on the back as a little surprise whenever you turn the tag over. And my sweet hubby went on etsy and ordered these for Christmas! So you will see the hand on the front and when you turn it over it will have 'God Loves you"!!! Isn't it cute....one of my favorite Christmas gifts (and everyone wins b/c now Bryan won't have to discuss/analyze my clothing tag label anymore:):):)). I am going to reorder some with "God Loves You' written upside down so when you turn the tag over when it's in the clothes you can read it the other way too.  Great and thoughtful gift, huh?!

Even though it is freezing outside, we took our bikes and new helmets across the street to ride to the park.

CUTE!

CC wants to start a rock collection. She has always loved finding rocks- when she was around two years old (before she went on a 'no-pants-only-dresses or skirts' kick), we would find tons of rocks all her pants pockets. She now has a special box to put all the rocks she collects. Her and daddy found some great rocks to add to her collection!

Emory and I went down the slide together about 50 times! She kept saying, "just one more time Mommy, just one more time". Then she would grab my hand and take me where we were going.

Then she convinced CC to go down 50 times with her!

Daddy playing the drums while CC does an Indian dance!

Christian took a big fall on her bike (thank goodness for the helmet!) and was done with bike riding. Emory wanted to ride sissy's bike. She was having a great time, but then a dog started coming up behind her and she HATED it! She kept saying "My falling, my falling"!

We had a fun time, and I'm sure we will all have a cold just in time to head back to school/work!!!
