Easter Sunday

(picture overload- sorry!)

The Easter Bunny came this morning!

Christian wrote him a note (not sure if you can read it from the picture) " Dear Easter Bunny give me some peeps today & I love peeps & my name is Christian". The Easter Bunny wrote back!!!

He also brought them a TON of candy and unicorn bath towels! We have a butterfly bath towel that they always fight over who will "be the butterfly" after bath. I'm glad the Easter Bunny thought to bring them both a better towel!!

When my parents got to our house, we picked a flower to put in the cross at church.

 how cute are these two!

After a great church service, we went to brunch.
It was a great day to celebrate

"God gave Jesus to die for our sins, and he raised him to life, so that we would be made acceptable to God" -Romans 4:25

My two unicorns after their bath tonight

Happy Easter! I need to get back to eating my 500th Reese's cup egg

Easter Weekend

My parents came in town to celebrate Easter, and we spent Saturday swimming! It was so much fun and wore us all out!

CC, of course, jumped in without a second thought.

I wasn't sure what Emory would do, but she went right in without a second thought. But she wouldn't go down the slide:)

they both had such a fun time

We had dinner by the pool....Emory just ate her hotdog bun:)

Gran got the girls the cutest beach hats for Easter. And Christian's matches her bathing suit perfectly.....Miss Priss!
Isn't her bathing suit adorable! I kinda want one for myself:)

Happy Easter

Fashion Show

A few of the spring clothes I've made for the girls.....

This is my FAVORITE FAVORITE FAVORITE fabric....isn't it cute! When we have our 10th girl:), I'm going to attempt to make bedding out of the this. Then the CC and EMory could wear their dress and match the bedding- hehe!!

 The front
 the back

My first dress I made w/o a pattern! Just looked at one of CC's dresses she already had.

The back- I love this fabric too!

hard to see how cute the fabric is on CC's dress. and the cute ruffle sleeves. These dresses are so simple to make and adorable!

another ruffle top dress... next time I won't take pics in the sun so you can see how CUTE the fabric is.

and just I think she's beautiful and love her to pieces! (only 23 more days until she turns 3- WOW!!)

Easter Things

We went to our church Easter Egg hunt and had a great time. It was at a park we had never heard of, but we loved it. It was shaded and small and so cute. We will definitely have to go back this spring and summer.

CC got half the eggs at the hunt, so we ended up sharing with some friends that got there a little late and only had one or two eggs!

Both girls had fun seeing their friends from Trinity.

Emory made a new friend with a little girl who's mom is in my bible study. They birthdays are only a few weeks apart. They really had a fun time playing together.

The other day we saw a HUGE rainbow- isn't it pretty!

Here are our eggs we dyed. We turned them into a princess village

 the king and queen

 Emory made this one

(This is for you Mimi) CC made a very detailed Easter Egg with water colors. She took her time and felt like an artist- ha!~

Birthday present

For Christmas, Emory wanted peaches and jelly.

I just asked her what she wanted for her birthday. She wants Oreos this time! And I bet a picture to go along with the Oreos so she can show Pawpaw.

This girl is pretty easy:)!

Pinterest explosion

Here are a few of the ideas I got from Pinterest for the Easter Party. I eventually had to quit looking b/c I kept seeing new ideas.

wreath for the door- ($5 at Hobby Lobby, ribbon, cross- sheet moss sprayed glued to a wooden cross Bryan made. They said to cut a cross out of styrofoam and pin or glue the moss to it. Bryan had extra wood and made this one. He just drilled holes and I attached it with ribbon wire.  I love how it turned out.

how stinkin cute!!! I saw this the day before and how to make a trip to Hobby Lobby!
This has nothing to do with the Easter Party (and the picture is horrible), but it sorta came from pinterest. I saw someone had made the number 50 with pictures for a 50th wedding anniversary and thought it would be adorable to do for the girls' bday. The pictures are all of the year leading up to their birthday in the shape of the age they are turning. I plan on backtracking and making one for each year and hanging each number for the entire month of their birthday. How much fun (and maybe a little tacky-ha) will it be when they are 18 to have 18 posters all over the house of pictures from their entire life! I can't wait and I am MAKING myself do it this summer.

These are Peep lollipops and jelly beans with Peeps in the vase.

this little moss covered basket with eggs in it- didn't make it, but found it for only $10 online!

The recipe for the scent that you smell when you walk into William-Sonama. 3/4 pot of water, 2 tsp of vanilla, rosemary, and lemon. Let it simmer on low all day. It did smell great until Bryan brought in 21 lb of BBQ meat that he made (and it was FANTASTIC!!!!)

Lemon ice cubes. Put lemon slices in a muffin bed and fill almost to the top with water. Then freeze and stick in a pitcher of water.

Aunt Pat and Di- have you ever been on Pinterest? I feel like you would LOVE it!
