Visiting Santa

We got all dolled up again to visit Santa! How cute is this picture!

I know she's mine, but I think she is absolutely beautiful!

Aunt Paige sure does know how to make a girl's tush look good. Thanks Aunt Paige!

The girls did great waiting to talk to Santa.

Don't you just want to kiss this little face?! I can't get enough of her!

Then, it was almost our turn, so we had to do a little primping!

Okay, so Christian wrote this AWESOME letter to Santa with fantastic handwriting. She put a lot of time and effort into and also colored it. I was so proud and couldn't wait to laminate it and keep it to show her when she was older. Well, the damn Santa asked to keep the letter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He folded it all up and stuck it under something. I was appalled! But it made Christian's day, so I couldn't yell, "You're crazy Santa if you think you are keeping that letter". So, I'm sure all of her hard work is in the trashcan at Brookwood Mall. It did make her happy and she talked about it all day and night (and maybe it's a good thing we don't have any proof that she asked for a dog and a leash for the dog.)

Emory LOVED LOVED LOVED Santa. We weren't really sure how it would go but she jumped right up and wanted to stay there. I think the two of them could have sat in his lap all day.

(random picture on this post)
After visiting Santa and naps, we had a night out on the town with friends (one of which is Mandy who I haven't hung out with in forever....we had so much fun). First we went to Chuy's (yummy!) then headed to our friends Christmas party (Allison- I love your sweater!:):):).
The best part of the night:
1. Bryan getting out of the car at CVS without putting it into park and the car went rolling---with me in it!
2. Denise hopping in the wrong car, taking her jacket off, settling in ,then noticing it wasn't her husband in the driver's seat!!!!

School Christmas Program

Wednesday night, the three of us girls rushed home for a wardrobe change and quick hair and makeup for CC's Christmas program at school.

We put on our best dress and fur coat and headed to school

WE had to be there at 5:30 for the performance that didn't start until 6:00.

So, we had 30 minutes to kill before watching sister sing her heart out!

But it was well worth the wait! CC LOVES to be 'on-stage'. When she grows up she wants to be a cheerleader-teacher-mom. But she also wants to be 'on TV' and just like Taylor Swift!

This picture cracks me up....do you see Christian on the 2nd row in from the back, 2nd girl in? Do you her face looks like she is bored out of her mind? Well, it's because the girl in the front in front of the microphone is singing a solo and SHE WANTED TO BE THE BEST SINGER AND SING IN THE MICROPHONE LIKE TAYLOR SWIFT!

Emory decided to join the big girls and sit on the floor to watch sister.

This weekend

WE...

asked Stewie to find out from Santa what kind of cookies he likes.

and Stewie did! Santa likes sugar cookies with sprinkles. And the even better thing about that is that we already have everything we need to make the cookies, just in case we forgot to buy them!

Friday after school, I took CC and her friend from her class to see Tangled and to dinner. They had the best time together and were so cute talking to each other in the car and dinner! Christian LOVES having people ride in the car with her. :):) (They went on a field trip this week and all she could tell me about it was what happened in the car ride there and back!!!)

Saturday we went to 'Christmas Crafts' at church. Some friends from Christian's class were there, which made her so happy!

We made ornaments, place mats, snacks,

and Christmas trees!. (I'm not sure what happened to this picture. I thought I snapped the picture when everyone was looking...guess not!). Then we headed to lunch with our friends Hudson, Lois Anne, and Kelley! Again, her favorite part was having Hudson ride with us to lunch. The two of them were perfect at lunch, while Kelley and I talked for an hour! It was so so great to catch up.

Then Bryan made chili and the Scroggins came over later for the SEC championship game! What a great game!!!!! We celebrated like crazy when Auburn won!
When the Scroggins left, we were exhausted and shut down the house to go to bed. We looked at the clock and it was 8:30!!! we are WILD!

Sunday, we headed to church, took naps, then went to visit the Ashford's and their new addition, Charlie, who was born on Monday! He is absolutely precious. I went to see them earlier in the week at the hospital, but Bryan wanted to meet him. So we took them dinner and visited for a while.
Emory was so cute. She kept her distance from him and kept pointing saying "night night". She didn't have a problem with Daddy holding him or when I held him. UNTIL........David handed me a bottle for me to feed him. Emory could. not. stand. it! Eventually I handed him back and Emory jumped in my lap and wanted to me to hold and rock her like a baby! So funny!

I love you Charlie!

The perfect family of six!
WOW!!!! the weekend went by fast. Only 20 days until Christmas!!!

Come on, honestly what do you think?!

Okay, you're right- I AM cute!

Oh....and if anyone is looking for a Christmas gift for me....:):):)
(and don't worry, I have already pre-ordered my Eclipse DVD- should be here next week! Happy early Christmas Mallory!!!)

Hit the ground running~!

We have hit the ground running with Christmas at our house!

we are wearing our new Christmas PJ's Aunt Paige gave us,

our stockings, past Santa pictures, and nutcrackers are up,

our Nativity scene is set up,

our Christmas tree is up and decorated! We even have some wrapped presents underneath

our name plates are almost ready!
(I had the BEST idea about how Santa will figure out where to put each girls' presents! For some reason I have been stressed out about how to do this! BUT....I came up with this idea to make a directional sign to put up for Santa. I had these made, then Bryan is going to mount them to a post stand and paint it to look like a candy cane! I can't wait to see the finished product. And if any more kiddos are added to our family, we can just add another sign! I'll post pics when it's finished.I feel like I should quit my job and start making these!:))

our advent calendar is up and ready to begin on Wednesday

our table is decorated (and apparently one of our nutcracker is missing an eye!)

snowmen are up,

and the best part.......STEWIE, the elf is here! Christian was so excited to have Stewie back. We told her that Stewie's magic begins again when we read the story. So we read Elf on the Shelf to get things going for the Christmas season. She is so into it...a lot more than last year.

After we read the book, we laid Stewie out (since we can't touch him), so he could go tell Santa that it is time to start watching Christian and Emory's house! Wonder where he'll end up tomorrow morning!?

Thanksgiving and WAR EAGLE!!!

We spent time being making crafts and being silly!

Even Grandaddy joined in!

While we cooked dinner, the big kids entertained Emory!

Great lookin' cousins!

The kids' table!

Each kid made a turkey! This is Emory's hand.

Let's eat!

Then Friday we got ready for the Auburn/Alabama game! It was a house divided, but Gaines tried to please everyone!

The Alabama fans!

Emory's first tailgate experience! She is going to love college tailgating b/c she couldn't get enough of the chicken wings!

Then Auburn won!!! WAARRRRRRRRRRRRRR EAGLE!

And we celebrated like crazy!
We all headed to Mimi and Granddaddy's for Thanksgiving and had the best time ever!
Can you believe it's now Christmas time?! Where did 2010 go?
