growing up

YUMMY!!!!!! priceless face!
Mommy, should you really let Christian feed me??? (another priceless face!)
(fran- thanks for letting us use the bumbo...Bryan was very thankful for it during feeding time!)

Emory has started eating rice cereal. I can't believe she is already 4 months and eating food (if you can call yucky rick cereal food!). Before I know it she will be running around with her CC.
She actually LOVES the rice cereal but doesn't get much in her mouth...gotta learn how to use that tonuge. CC loves helping out with feeding her. She's a wonderful big sissy.

Your thoughts?

Okay....so Bryan and I are in a little bit of a disagreement. He HAAAAAAAAAATES these new bow bands I got for Emory, and I LOOOOOOOOOOVE them. What do you think? Be honest....no ones feelings will be hurt (except mine if you don't like it....just kidding....really- tell us what you think?!)

Fun

the only thing they caught...a lily pad!
she had her own barbie tackle box with worms!

CC, Emory, Elise, and Sophia. Next we'll have baby Kate and Ava! SIX girls...wow!

sweet Ava!

We've had a great weekend. Friday night the Meacham's and Scroggin's came over to our house for dinner. The girls played together all night long and we could have some adult time. Elise and Emory are so laid back and were perfect. Saturday, Bryan and Christian had a little daddy/daughter fishing. Bryan bought her a Barbie fishing rod, and she had the best time. CC did not want to leave- they fished for 2 1/2 hours!!! Bryan can't wait to go again- next time is on a boat!

JESUS LOVES ME

CC's new favorite song to sing is Jesus Loves Me. They sing it in school and we sing it at home ALL THE TIME (at least 6 times before we go to bed...she has chosen to sing it instead of praying lately). Emory loves to listen to her sing it and so do we. I love it so much...it makes me smile and sometimes want to cry it's so pretty. What a great voice, huh?!!!

4 month stats

Emory had her 4 month appointment yesterday. She is 16 lbs 14 oz and 26 inches long....95 percentile in both!!! She is sleeping from 8:00 pm- 7:00 am (YAY!!!), eating 5 times a day, and will begin eating rice cereal soon. She loves to smile and giggle when you tickle her tummy. She is her happiest in the morning...constantly smiling. She can roll over from tummy to back and from side to side....almost ready to roll from back to tummy. She grabs for toys and gets so excited when she sees her bottle. Her favorite songs for us to sing to her are Pat-A-Cake and Jesus loves Me. She loves for people to talk to her and she will 'talk' back.....more like a high pitch squeal! She is perfect! We love ya Emmie!

I am THAT mom.....

outside of her classroom!

showing me her cubby

So, today was CC's first day of 3K school. She woke up in a great mood, ready to go (after I told her she didn't have to take a nap at school!). She even picked a flower (okay, a weed) for Ms. Celia. We got there a few minutes early so that I could take a few pictures of her in her classroom! She was so excited that she didn't mind smiling for the camera. I might have taken it a little overboard with the pictures b/c as I was walking out a teacher stopped me to ask if this was my first child to go to school.
While she was in school I went shopping for her dance attire....that stuff is expensive! I had to get ballet and tap shoes, a leotard, and tights....it cost $72!!! Doesn't that sound like a lot for 3 year dance stuff?!
When I went to pick her, she was talking up a storm about what she did today...all the important stuff like "I ate my cookie at lunch". She did tell me that she got a sticker during music b/c she sang Jesus Loves Me, she sat next to Katie at the table, her job was circle time (not sure what that means), her friend is Keira, and she wanted to take a nap when we got home. And the best thing of all....she wants to go back tomorrow!! YAY!! I got a letter from Ms. Celia that she had a great day- no tears and she is excited about CC taking dance (Ms. C is the dance teacher too!)
I'm so proud of my Christian :):)

Where did it go???

this is the first picture taken of CC while in the hospital

So, Christian's 3K school had their parent orientation tonight. I cannot believe that I am old enough to have a child who is going to school- Okay...I know it's only 3K, but still. When did CC get to be a big girl. Anyway, kids were not allowed, so Bryan stayed home with the girls while I went to find out what CC will be doing this year. I am completely stressed out!!!! Not really, but this is the first time I have had to be the parent and fill out all the papers and make sure that all my ducks are in a row. I have a list of supplies I need to buy, extra clothes to pack, parties to sign up for, etc, etc.... We will also be selling wrapping paper, so get ready family members (that's you Gran and Mimi!!!)
Christian's school is going to be incredible. They have music, chapel, creative movement (PE), and art every week. During circle time they are learning the pledge of allegiance (she already knows some), Lord's prayer, days of the week, etc...They have daily helpers with a job to do each day. I just can't believe it! My little girl is doing big girl school stuff. She will be taking dance (tap and ballet) class on Wednesday with a recital in May- YAY!
I have signed up to help in the class and I am going to talk during career day-AHHHHH!! I want to be involved and make CC feel special, so I'll suck up the fact that I get nervous about doing stuff like this.
I am SOOOO excited for her....she is going to be a genius before it's all said and done.
