CC not in action

Last night was our first soccer practice. Bryan was excited to be the coach, and CC was excited to be dressed up to play soccer! All the little players were so cute and all have little brothers or sisters, so they have quite the cheerleading section. Bryan was GREAT as coach. I think it was kind of intimidating b/c all the parents were counting on him to teach their kids to play soccer. But he did so well and the kids actually listening (well most..not mine) and doing the drills. Sophia's dad, Stephen, is the assistant coach and was very helpful to Bryan. CC enjoyed being outside and being dressed up but really didn't care about the soccer part! She was being a little bitty and wouldn't participate. We had a little 'talkin' to' when we got home, so hopefully next week will be better.

Music and Me

you can tell that Kelley was once a teacher... she wasn't even phased by the large crowd of chaos!

Emory loves watching the other kids and listening to the music. Look at her shaking her shaker...seconds after it was in her mouth!
reading a book during 'quiet time'

Little Miss Charlotte- absolutely gorgeous.

WHEW...today is a busy one. We started off with dropping CC off to school, then running errands. Then Music and Me class for Emory and me. It was such a fun time. There were a TON of kiddos and mommies there. We sang songs, played with instruments, read books and had a snack. I think CC would have a blast, so I might have her skip school one day to join us. I felt like Emory's face kept saying, "Mommy, I love this".
After that we headed over to Liz's house to meet baby Charlotte. She is 6 weeks old and it was the first time we met. Emory was sleeping, so I got to cuddle and feed Charlotte. I feel like Emory was just born, but I already miss the little tiny stage where they curl up with their legs under their tummy and sleep on your chest. But I don't miss the long, sleepless nights.
We picked CC up from school, ran home for nap time. Tonight we have our first soccer game! I made a poster with Bryan's name on it so all of the teammates can find us. Sophia and Christian are the only 2 girls on the team! Our team color is maroon...boo! I have been stressing out over what color bow the girls will wear. I decided to make them light pink bows......the girls have to have some sort of pink on, right?! Right after soccer, I have dinner with the girls!
I will definitely need a drink after this busy busy day!
Here is a video of all the mommies and kids singing!...

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE

CC had her first ballet class today! I couldn't wait to pick her up to see how she liked it. A crew full of 3 and 4 year old girls came tapping down the hall....Christian being one of them. She immediately started showing me everything she learned that day....she is so graceful- just like her mommy!! We stopped by our friend's, Jessica and baby Georgia, house on the way home and CC was showing off her dance moves. The picture is of Ms. Celia and CC. We eat, breathe, and sleep stuff that has to do with Ms. Celia. She is constantly talking about her and wanting to know when we will see her next. She often asked, "Mommy, what is Ms. Cea doing?" I usually answer, " She is eating dinner", "She is sleeping", etc, etc. I'm really glad that she loves her so much and she is learning much from wonderful Ms. Celia.
On another note, we have had a fun, busy week. Emory and I are starting to go to a Mama and Me bible study and Music and Me class at the church during the week. This was the first week for both (haven't been to the Music and Me class yet- it's tomorrow). I really enjoyed the Mama and Me and so did Miss Emory. She was looking all around at the kids playing- just taking it all in. I'm looking forward to going back.
(PS-look at CC's bow...I made it! I finally learned how to make big bows. I'm such a money saver!)

CONVERSATION WITH CC: (which I'm sure she will kill me when she is older, but it's too cute not to share!)

story #1
(CC'S pants were falling down)
Me: Christian, I see your bum- bum crack
CC: WHAT!!!! my bum-bum cracked? Oh No Mama!

story #2
CC: Emory is funny
Me: she is funny
CC: Funny lookin'
(this is something Bryan says ALL THE TIME, so it's extra funny that CC said it!)

Dare Devil

This is a video of CC and I riding this upside down thing at DeSoto Caverns. I HATED it! I cannot believe she actually rode it!

This is Christian driving the car.....ouch!

Christian kept saying, "FIRE" every time anyone would shoot the bow and arrow. She loved it and started to have an audience!

You know you're a parent when.....

instead of spending a Saturday drinking beer and watching football, you go to DeSoto Caverns to entertain your kids! I have been on this tour many times on field trips with my school. This was the first time I actually got to listen to the tour guide and it was actually very interesting. I was embarrassing Bryan though b/c I kept asking questions.
CC's funny face...can you tell I am having a difficult time keeping CC still and Emory's head turned toward the camera?

panning for gem stones.

This was SO much fun. CC was pretty good...she hit a bulls eye on her first try! I have learned that I am AWFUL at this..I didn't hit the target once.

Another funny face from CI hope she improves her driving before 16!

We had the best time today. Bryan and I both decided that we wanted to do something fun w/ CC, so we drove to DeSoto Caverns to see the cave. We had the BEST time. The cave tour was very interesting and CC loved being in a cave. There is so much to do there (which can get pretty pricey) and it's perfect for our little ones. All of us had a really fun time and can't wait to go back.

Beautiful Ballerina!

AHhhhhhhh...how cute! (this is early in the morning...so excuse the hair!)
"Will we do this at dance?"
CC starts her first dance classes on Wednesday! I am so excited for her. Her 3K teacher is also the dance teacher, so I think that will be helpful for Christian. Doesn't she look adorable! Hopefully she will be better at dance than me! Grandparents, get ready for the recitals!:):)
CONVERSATION WITH CHRISTIAN:
(Picture it- me making the bed in the morning)
CC: Mommy, who's coming over?!
(guess we need to start making the bed more often, not just when people come over. HORRIBLE that my daughter picked up on that!!!)

Uh-oh!

I embarrassingly admit that I sucked my thumb until I was in 3rd grade. To get me to stop, I had to wear this rake type retainer on the roof of my mouth....ouch and ugly!
So, even though this picture is adorable and I think it's so stinkin' cute that Emory found her thumb, I will do everything in my power to get her to stop!
