June

We hit the ground running as soon as we got back from Disney.

The week we got back, CC had a softball camp that the high school girls led. She loved it!

Most days, after our camps were over we headed to the pool.

Emory's friend, Caroline, had a sweet little princess tea party for her friends.

AFter softball camp, CC went to an American Girl Doll camp at Aldridge Gardens. They had the best time doing things around the camp with their American Girl Dolls. We are definitely doing this one again next year- super cute!

Daddy took the girls fishing. Emory hated it until she caught a fish! They both caught a little fish. Then  all of a sudden Emory caught a huge bass. As she was reeling it in it jumped out of the water and unhooked itself!!! and CC caught a turtle but it unhooked itself as well!

We celebrated Daddy with breakfast in bed, gifts, and a good game of Monkeying Around!
We sure do love this man

and all the Granddaddys and Pawpaws in our lives!

Daddy stepped in to curl Emory's hair b/c she was too impatient to wait until I was finished with CC's hair!

I had to step in and finish the rest, but Daddy did a great job on the top row!
(After all this, she wanted to take them out about 15 minutes later!)

Mimi got CC a week at art camp and this is all her fun creations! She loved the art camp and it's another definite for next summer!

Our May

CC and I got mani/pedi's with our friends!

I got some cute cards for Mother's Day
and the girls wanted to wash my car because 'IT'S SOOOOO MESSY"

Had our teeth cleaned and Emory refused to lay down!

Emory had a huge end of the year party!

Two of the best teachers around.

I survived my first year teaching 4k and LOVED it! Looking at this picture makes me miss this kiddos a lot. They felt like my own by the end of the year. What a great group!

Emory got glasses (ha- not really, she just likes to get glasses at the Dollar Store and take the lenses out.) These are her reading glasses. She has another pair for every day wear.

Our great friends from Sunday School moved to California, so as a farewell we went to dinner and karaoke. Bryan and Chris sang Regulate by Warren G. Bryan won the Sunday School Mirror Ball Trophy for his performance!!

Emory and I went one last time to eat lunch with Christian as a first grader! CC's teacher let Emory sit in the line to go to the bathroom and play quiet mouse. Some of the kids picked E to be the quiet mouse and she couldn't believe it:)!

While CC was still in school, I took E and her friend on a little play date.

first and last day of school pictures!
After seeing the after pictures, we quickly went for a haircut!

Emory had her dance recital! Look at that pose!

Gran and Pawpaw came to watch her first dance recital.

Venom

In the spring, CC started back softball. This was our first spring ball experience. It is a LOT different from fall ball. Not as laid back and a lot more time consuming, but just as fun!

I mean, have you seen a cuter softball player?

Daddy was the assistant coach, and the whole family got socks and shirts to help cheer on sister!

The team was a great group of girls and were really good!

Everytime CC is on base, this is her stance! She is ready to run. It makes me giggle every time I see her standing like this! I know that someone showed her one time how to stand and "get ready to run". And so that is exactly what she does- my little rule follower!!!

They had a kickoff parade at the beginning of the season.

action shot!

If Emory isn't on the playground, she is checking in on sissy (often rubbing it in that she is eating candy or Italian Ice from the concession stand)

adorable in her helmet!

GO VENOM!
PS- Emory is going to play fall ball this year too! I can't wait to see how this plays out- should be interesting:):)

My baby is FOUR (and has been since April:):):))

I'm not quite sure how this happened, but my baby girl is FOUR!!!!!

She is going to be a great Jesus person when she grows up!

We didn't plan a big birthday party since we were going to surprise the girls with the Disney trip (and calling it a early/late bday present). But Emory had a great day turning 4!

My parents came up the weekend before for a softball game and we had a mini celebration cookies and presents.
EZ Roller from Gran and Pawpaw! She loves it and it really is fun to ride. Reminds me of the turtle I had growing up.

CC was so cute and spent her own money to buy her a magic ice cream maker. Before you run out to buy one, you need to know that you to have to vigorously shake the container for THREE entire minutes- which children will NOT do! and then after shaking for what seems like forever, it doesn't actually make ice cream!
But it was super sweet that CC wanted to buy something for her, AND it has helped them understand that all the 'as seen on TV' things aren't as great as they seem:)

Poor Emory had pink eye on her birthday. Luckily, we went to the doctor the day before and got medicine. So she was able to go to school on her actual birthday.

She had a little birthday snack celebration in her class.

Then, we had a few of her friends meet us at Chuck E Cheese for pizza.

So, I was THAT mom that didn't sign up for an official party at Chuck E Cheese, but brought my own plates, napkins, balloons, and cupcakes! I just set up camp like we were scheduled to have a party! But no one said anything to us, so I guess it was okay (or they thought we were officially having a Chuck E Cheese party- ha!)

Emory had a BLAST and it was a perfect little birthday party for her!

Happy Birthday my little Emory!
I blinked and you turned into a beautiful, kind, thoughtful, spunky little (big) girl! I feel like you were just born and I was putting a size 1 diaper on my brand new 9 lb 13 oz baby!
Gosh, I love ya!

April catch up

Our April......
Softball took up a lot of our time in April (more pictures later). CC's team name was VENOM---- not the best name, but the shirt and socks were cute! Emory loves going to the ball park for the Italian Ice and the playground.

 went to see the Croods.
Learned my lesson- NEVER get ice cream at a movie. It's hard to eat neatly while in the dark....and blue ice cream will stain your clothes.....

emory and I had a few dinner picnics outside while Daddy and CC were at the ball park late.

I went on a girls beach trip with college friends. It was so much fun and I'm sparing everyone the bathing suit pics!

We celebrated Emory's best friend, Georgia's bday.
(dedicating an entire post to Emory's birthday later)

CC was in a play at church called Stuck in the Mud.
Her acting debut- a chariot wheel!
